@vancityguy There's loads of castles in the Lake District. Check out the wikipedia page called "List of castles in England" and look under "Cumbria" - that's where the Lake District is :)

As for the Aurora, it's not far enough north for the aurora to be seen normally. You can't even see the Aurora in the Shetland Isles for the most part. :(

As for storylines outside canon there are loads of bull like: Ryu wins every fight ever, Sagat is worried about his age, Akuma is Dan`s father, Zangief dreams of beautiful women (ironically his first bios claimed he hated them, after rumors claiming Zang was gay, they changed his dislikes to sonic booms, hadoukens etc), Dhalsim being a scientist (lol), Blanka being Charlie, Vega`s lover died in his arms so he became crazy, Balrog being a computer geek (lol). Its easy to get confused indeed.

I thought that the charlie and blanka thing was only in the live action movie and dic cartoon series, but i could see how if someone saw them they would think that way. But for the other things it just depends on what the source is. If you are playing the games, or the comics, or different anime, they all have their own canon, so i just leave it at that.

Well you have to think about it like this, Just like with Sonic the hedgehog that had multiple different incarnations, All are canon. Sega went ahead and made everything official to there own universe, which meant the cartoon series, comic series, and game series were official and had their own canon. The same thing happened to the udon comic streetfighter and video games, they are all official but have their own canon. If that makes any sense to you.
