  • So much better than the 2009 movie.

  • Seems McCoy and Spock didn't want any KFC.

  • So this explains why Kirk's uniforms always kept getting bigger.

  • I prefer Kentucky Fried Tribbles.

  • That was ... pretty ... darned good!

  • Space ganja, thats all i have to say.

  • @7h1s9uy1102 i mean rly, Kirk had to satisfy "cravings" im jus sayin

  • Hay! Who toke my fries?

    LMAO xD

  • Oh my! They really look like the original ones!

  • I was watching this for the 10th time. This is awesome!

  • To boldly go where no finger lickin` good finger has gone before...!

  • that doesnt look like a 3pc to me.

  • Wow, well done. :)

  • This is great!

  • Oh god now I want some KFC.

  • That is CRAY - ZEE !

  • Most impressive. This is the best Trek-themed ad, ever...other than the British Petroleum ad with Shatner and Doohan.

  • Kirk eventually decided on a 15 piece family meal.

  • I have to admit, the actors here look somewhat close to the originals.

  • I never saw this, did it air?

  • What a horrible stain on the memory of a wonderful part of television history. I'll never eat at KFC (or Taco Bell) again.

  • This can't be real. If it were real, Kirk would have been bangin' that cashier chick.

  • I have to admit, as a die hard Star Trek fan, I was indeed truly impressed.

  • EXCELLENT!

  • awesome!

  • OMG, I loved it !!!

This will definitely tickle the funny bone of any TRUE Trek fan !!!

  • I agree with TbOne... their "Scotty" was nearly perfect. For a commercial.. it wasn't bad at all!

  • @jtpencils The 'Sulu' could have been better.

  • I didn't see Uhura have any of that chicken!

  • Dang, that was actually impressive!

  • That wAS GREAT!

  • Was this an actual commercial, or was this done for a project or something?

  • @hypnodance Real commercial.

  • Comment removed

  • @ownage22guy22 Spock ate meat in one episode...and he enjoyed it.

  • @davidls11

    not kfc meat !

  • how did they pay for the chicken?

  • Crew members coming on duty afterward wondered why everything on the bridge was covered with greasy crumbs.

  • Better budget than the actual show maybe.

  • Comment removed

  • this should be made into a whole episode.

  • @pikeofnazareth That's how Scotty got fat! "It's no use captain! I canna reach the control panel!"

  • That could explain why kirk became an Admiral, sit behind a desk all day, a bunch of ensigns to order about, a KFC right across the street..."Ensign! Go get me a 24 piece meal! NOW!" 5min later..."Here ya go Admiral!" taking a bite Kirk:"This sure beats synthesized chicken!"

  • That was dumb but cute! ^^ Haha

  • Heh. The girl behind the KFC counter looked like Chase Masterson.

  • I'm impressed by the 'look alikes' used in this.

  • These are the voyages of the star ship USS KFC. Its continuing mission, to explore new flavors, to seek out new customers, and to advertise where no man has advertise before......

  • Is the Enterprise included in the meal?

  • this is badass.

  • FAKE! KFC doesn't have prizes.

  • Hey! I'm not bitching about it. I'm just stating facts ol' boy.

  • They should have used these actors, and a DIFFERENT director for the last Star Trek film!

Which wasn't really a Star Trek film.

Would have been much closer to the "heart and soul" of our beloved Trek!

Wow! Pretty bad when a fast food commercial is better quality, and more interesting, than something Hollywood wastes millions on!

  • This is just awesome! Thanks for sharing!

  • the actress playing Uhura is absolutely gorgeous. Damn.

  • hey look a red shirt that made it through a mission

  • That was incredible

  • Look back over comments. i gave a whole description of where, when, why and how. Thanks for looking!

  • This is 4 years old -- from at least 2006? Anyone know where this ultra-amazing commercial aired? I never did see this in the northwestern United States. (This ad needs to be on PERPETUAL rotation for KFC! What an attention getter!)

  • What is this? I looked around online and simply couldn't find out. It looks to me like they gave the real Shatner the Benjamin Button treatment and digitally made him look younger and slimmer. The others are apparently simply lookalikes, although the Doohan one is so eerily exact that it's uncanny.

  • First time I've seen a parody where the actors actually look like the originals.

  • fucken Epic.

  • Almost lost the cole slaw, Cap'n. The casting director for this should have won a Clio.

  • gee fatty 3 piece combo??

  • How did they do this commercial and how did they get these actors to look so much like the original cast members??? Scotty looks just like James Doohan did in the 60's.

    Anybody know?!

  • Where's Spock and McCoy?

  • @riverdale999 Well, if they really did this in 2006 like someone else said, then D.Kelley would've been dead for about 7 years at that point. Maybe they didn't want to use someone else's voice. Don't know about Nimoy, though.

  • Are you fucking me? This is crazy!

  • With that cast and better sets, the series could be remade. super duper, too bad

it was just a commercial pitch.

  • Actually crazy good look-alikes!

  • lol, this is the most rediculous commercial.

  • 新作の映画はこの人達を使うべきだった!!!

  • @sinteiropao 你不得不承認一個喜歡的外觀看起來原件

  • Why is there all white people. Make it mixed. :/

  • @iwantpk2 Umm...Uhura is black, plus you have an asian and a russian....

  • Why beam..? Replicators.

    Who took my fries? lol

  • Hell, they could have played as the "alternate" crew of the Enterprise...alternate.

  • Restoring peace to the galaxy one chicken wing at a time!

  • why didn't they use these actors for the remake?

  • Comment removed

  • @hulkmeister23 Because these actors were 18 years older. This commercial was on during the 25th anniversary of Star Trek in 1991.

  • To Boldly Go...Where No KFC Meal Has Gone Before!!

  • What the hell...that is the greatest cast of look a likes that I have ever seen, and delicious looking too ;)

  • They didn't find a good enough Spock lookalike, so they just didn't include him.

  • What year is this commercial? Is funny :-)

  • Very interesting! Not for the idiotic commercial, but for the physics problem involved. Again Star trek is way ahead of its time. For a transporter to work it must copy every detail to the atom, including motion, yet how could the inertia remain after being transported? I always thought a transporter might be theoretically possible, but this may well be proof that its not / if you do the math and include inertia. ???? ignore inertia and the transporter will scramble your eggs.???

  • @clemm17 and in the new star trek 2009 when scotty transports sulu and kirk who are free falling to their deaths, shoudnt they have left a nasty mess on the transporter pad.

  • Actors w/ CGI faces, dubbed in real cast voices. Only real person was one that beamed up w/chicken

  • @YourLastViewer No, they did not use CGI. That sort of application of it wouldn't have been possible in 1991. The guy who directed this commercial commented somewhere that they used lookalikes with subtle prosthetics added to heighten the resemblance. The voices of the original actors were used.

  • HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! and spock's NOWHERE to be seen!!!!! XD

  • @sebringf1 Leonard Nimoy probably declined to participate in this commercial because 1. He's a vegetarian (and so is Spock). 2. They basically said he ate meat in the commercial. I would be offended too.

  • @jovantheun1337

Saw your comment about Nimoy being a vegetarian. When did that happen? I remember reading in his "I Am Spock" memoir that every morning in makeup he would start his day with a bacon egg and tomato sandwich. Might have the details wrong but I distinctly remember him mentioning bacon. Anyhoo, just curious...

  • @sisko2112 I don't recall that in the book. You may be confusing it with Shatner's 'Star Trek Memories' where he recollected Nimoy "stinking up the makeup room with his fried egg sandwiches." Nimoy has always said that he's a vegetarian (though he isn't preachy about it) and Jewish, so he certainly wouldn't eat bacon. Tomato and cheese is plausible though.

    Have a good one. :)

  • @jovantheun1337 Hey, I'm Jewish and I love bacon *lol* Okay, it's possible I'm confusing the two books (read them both a long time ago...)

    mmmmmm.... bacon.....

  • hey, who took my fries?!

  • This is the finest piece of cinema I have ever seen

  • Those voices are the original actors aren't they? None sound like impressions to me.

  • @Nash1a lookalikes, with the original crew over-dubbing the lines. :-)

  • @RobertMfromLI Yeah. I'd seen this before but I assumed it was impersonators doing the voices. But when I listen closely, it really does sound like all the original... well how they sounded a few years ago.

  • OMG! They should have used these actors on the last movie !!!!!!

  • @nmatos2005 this was a old commercial those people are as old as the original series people now

  • @nmatos2005 The new movie cast probably would have been teenagers when this was made... This is at least 10 years old, maybe older.

  • @Nash1a 1991, the 25th anniversary of Star Trek.

  • @nmatos2005 They would have been too old. This ad was filmed in 1991.

  • cool make up...

  • This is 100 times better than JJ Abrams shit cast. In fact, JJ Abrams and his whole reboot is shit...but if they had carried on with the original story and tried to recast the original series roles...KFC could do a better job. Priceless!

  • @bkm250 Fuck you, that movie was great. And I say that as a lifelong Star Trek fan.

  • @DevSodDribble No Dev, I'm entitled to my own opinion thank you very much. I appreciate your communist effort to stop me from having one of my own but unfortunately your efforts are in vain. So with all due respect my friend...fuck you.

  • @bkm250 Batman, Superman, James Bond, Robin Hood etc. have all been 'recast.' Why not Star Trek? What was so sacred about those actors that nobody is ever allowed to play those characters again?? That movie was the first time since the 80's that Star Trek was 'cool' again, not exclusively owned by drooling geeks. And it was a big fun exciting roller-coaster ride of a movie, too. Why would anyone have a problem with that??

  • @DevSodDribble People like yourself who were starving for a "big fun roller coaster fire of a movie" already had 6 Star Wars movies, a dozen Super Hero flicks and a ton of action movies with sex, violence and shallow stereotypical characters being represented within a huge CGI environment. I enjoyed something deeper, a little more meaningful. So why reboot a 40 year old storyline/franchise? It was about dollars. To appeal teens and dumb it down so the modern moron can enjoy and understand it.

  • *to appeal to teens is what I meant to say. On a final note, we don't have to agree on this but don't tell me to like something when I don't. If you enjoy it, great. I choose to get off the train at this point and that's all there is to it. I would have been happier discussing this without the "fuck you" this and that but it seems a person can hardly do that on the internet these days. Nobody understands civility or "live and let live" Nobody gets the meaning of a post unless there is a "fuck".

  • @bkm250 Allow me to let you in on a secret: That's what BOOKS are for. 'Star Trek: Federation', for example, had the first meeting of old and new Star Trek characters and story was way better than 'Generations', which was a piece of crap. But would it make a good movie?? No, same with all the Star Wars Expanded Universe books, etc. Sorry to break this to you but 'modern morons' spend money, thus keeping the franchises alive, allowing for the meat and potato stories to exist.

  • @DevSodDribble Part of my job is to educate the mentally challenged. Your "glossed over, lens flare, shaky cinematogragry" view of "JJ Abrams' Star Trek" was SHIT! Plain and simple.

I have never seen a biger turd than this on screen. It is an insult to Gene Roddenberry's memory and to all those who grew up as even casual fans of the series.

Abrams' film was a very badly conceived sci-fi movie which simply contained elements of Star Trek.

    That's where the similarities end.

  • @Actionguy1 In other words, someone made a version of Star Trek that somebody besides basement dwelling nerds could get excited about. How dare they?!

  • @DevSodDribble No. Just seems the basement dwelling nerds went GA GA over JJ Abrams' ridiculous attempt to turn Star Trek into Star Wars!

The entire project was a joke. I give Abrams and company one, maybe, two more films. The execs at Paramount with cooler heads will see the error of their ways and we'll get back to the original timeline.

As I said before, JJ Trek: Badly conceived crap.

  • @Actionguy1 'Turning Star Trek into Star Wars' happened 32 years ago, when the guys from ILM came in to to the SFX shots on 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture.' Sorry pal, but like James Bond, Flash Gordon and the mythologies of ancient Egypt/Rome/Greece, these stories are going to get passed onto the next generation and the one after that, always with a twist. You're wasting your time to bitch about it.

  • @Actionguy1 Er, no, sorry but that was the first time since the 80's that Star Trek was 'cool' again, and people were excited about it. The fact remains at the end of the day that Abrahams' Trek made serious money, and was seen as a major comeback for a dying franchise. If you think anyone at Paramount saw an 'error' with that, YOU are the one living in an alternate reality, pal.

  • This should be on TV

  • one thing LOL

  • Next KFC: 12 Lightyears

  • WOW they should hire this cast and remake the original show i guarantee it will have viewers!!! DEAD ON ACTING AND LOOK A LIKES!!! EPIC WIN!!!

  • This commercial is AMAZING! The sets were great, and the character portrayals were spot-on.

  • KFC for the UFP!

  • Okay. NOW I have seen it all!;-)

  • Those look-a-likes were close! Even the overweight one! Gee wonder who he was suppose to be? Consuming KFC is very llogical--Vulcans perfer El Polo Loco! However, given that I am an "EARTHER", even though I like El Polo Loco never compares to a SUPER RARE BEEF Porter House!

  • LMAO! I love Star Trek <3 They have the way they all speak down haha. Very good imitation! There's no Spock in this though!

  • Now I want KFC! -_-

  • Awesome!

  • This makes me want to meet the look alikes. Are they doing conventions?

    ha ha ha.

  • I could always picture Kirk eating chicken wings on the bridge.

  • The casting was uncanny -- makes Abrams movie look even shittier, didn't know it was possible.

  • @Treknologist There is a difference between casting actors who can do the characters justice, and just casting look-alike's. A BIG difference.

  • Good ponit,K 1.

  • They should so use this!I would buy KFC all the time if they started using it as their commercial.

  • they should use this now

  • Kennedy Fried Chicken!

  • They have this and it's not racist but Australia can't have a cricket fan giving chicken to Sri Lankin cricket fans because it is racist. Come on. Other than that though pretty cool ad

  • The chicken...

    ...was excellent.

  • @LeftyHandedGuns Hey who took my fries?

  • uhuras lovin it

  • Wait KFC has fries?

  • They have chips not sure what the difference is

  • SO if Shatner's a veggie... he mustta had ALOT of salad

  • NO .. tell me they didn't make that commercial!

    OMG, I feel dirty.

  • LOL!!...purist. This was fun. Now I'm jonesing for some Beam-out KFC.

  • I wish they still played this commercial.

  • uhura is hot!!!

  • Now you know how Kirk got so fat, like we see in Generations.

  • Hey, who took my fries?

  • A tribble did....

  • To boldy teleport in, take your kfc, not pay for it and bugger off faster then no one has done before :P.

  • they Had Fries?! When??

  • They still do. Not sure what KFC you've been eating at.

  • All of the ones in my area have potato wedges, which I guess technically counts as fries. But I'm talking about the skinny type ones

  • PLEASE PASS THE CHEESE DIP

  • Nice Shatner acting! At least we know there's still KFC in the 23rd century.

  • oh no they did'nt

  • It looked like there was some digital touching up.

  • erm,,yes,,,,I dont know what to say,,,

  • Scotty, Uhura, and Kirk were very close to the originals. Checkov was pretty close.

  • Wow. Who did the casting?

    They deserve an award!

  • Proof that human cloning exists. How else to you get people that look 95-100% like the original ST cast.

  • I wonder as to what would happen to the crew of the Enterprise if they tried to beam up some Popeye's Chicken. Would Captain Kirk fight Popeye or would he simply steal Olive Oyl? That is one mystery in the galaxy that is finger-licking good!

  • Creepiness!

  • what.... the.... fuck?!?!!?!?!?

  • Is this a real KFC TV ad.?

  • Why yes aried in the 1990's. (To be exact 1994)

  • Great casting job - especially the actor who played Kirk. I did a double-take.

  • My God he and Scotty looked so much like the real thing.

  • they should have used these actors for the new star trek film! excellent ad!

  • Would'nt all the controls etc get sticky and horrible after eating all that chicken, chips etc?

  • Nope, the controls would get delicious.

  • i applaud you sir

  • You've just made me day.

  • Everyone knows that helm controls in the twenty third century are self-cleaning.

  • Those voices are from the original actors? Shatner? Doohan? Nichols?

  • Someone explain this to me:

How could an old ad for KFC get it OH SO RIGHT when the actual film from Paramount got it OH SO WRONG?!?

In Mr. Spock's own words, it is simply "not logical".

  • Simple. J.J doesnt give a shit about Star Trek (nor do the writers of new Trek) and just made a mindless summer flick.

  • Talking out you ass mate sorry it was a good movie

  • Rewatch it again and again. You'll notice more and more flaws. :)

  • Quit being such a purist, it has always been about the concept.
