I'm not scared of change, I don't see the benefit of this. I am not searching Google for what my friends know. If I want a friend's opinion, I ASK THEM. This is a giant waste of time and I'm amazed that Google would spend time on this when their main search engine is sliding downhill quality wise.

I'm getting results that truly suck these days. I have to dig harder to find anything useful. I'm on Bing an awful lot now too, and I hate Bing.

Google used to be the only source I went to, now I go to Bing despite my hatred for Microsoft, because their results are actually useful. Google's are a disjointed unrelated mess of late. Google's gleefully making itself useless with a thousand little distractions. You can't be everything to everyone. Just do a search engine really well, please, and chuck the rest.

Why are so many people scared of change? The web is becoming based around social more and more and this is a great way to integrate the social side of things into search to help get the most relevant results. Yes it does need Facebook and Twitter integrated into it really but this is a great new feature. It seems a lot of people are stuck in the past and don't want to accept change or are too lazy to keep up. A shame for them.

CONT (read below) Developers at Google complain that they have no real vision for rolling out a person centric platform which Facebook simply does everyday. Im on the same page when Google is trying to get more relevant searches to the top of Google pages and prevent spam. But it really is impossible, Search Marketers study this stuff... real people don't. Before you would buy 200+ backlinks to your site. Now you buy 200+ Profiles, you tell me did anything change in the quality of your search?

Most of this resulted from a spat with Google Vs Facebook, Google tried to buy Facebook and they said no. Facebook invented the Open Graph Protocol and Google created Google+pages. Google has lost its number one asset and that is search, since any social media site (Facebook, Twitter and now Google +) all have search bars with in their sites as well as influence the Search Results. Google was force to do something about it. I think they are loosing because the platform that Google+ is on sucks.

Search Plus Your World is a joke. As a website owner, I now feel "obligated" to join Google+ in order to protect my rankings and income. Im seeing more and more G+ results around my site which makes me nervous. It seems Google is more interested in pimping its social network than it is, promoting good quality content. Google, you suck.

I seriously hope this will tap into Facebook in the future. I like the idea of personal search results, but there's no way that if I feel like posting something I'll go to Google. Everybody is on Facebook with all of their posts, let's search those and this can work wonders right now.

I think it is absolutely alright. Search plus your world simply means that you can see your friends' posts directly from Google search, you can opt in or out as you wish. I guess it is nothing to do with privacy as long as your friends are sharing with you in the first place.

Plus, we are not forced to join, since all the services are linked to your Google account. Just like you have your YouTube account. You can choose not to join, but why not give it a try?

If you search with your Google account off, the search will show you the normal results. I do that by having two browsers always open, use my Google account on Chrome and let Firefox for normal search and other things. :)

google plus is better than facebook layout wise. Its just cooler. It only lacks people.

Google Plus is like a twitter-skype-facebook-youtube hybridbines then takes all the that takes all the best qualities of those sites and smashes them together while also fixing the problems of those sites.and whats amazing is the layout still is simple and clean.
