  • it took me 7 yr just to play like that but ican say this kid is still way better then me all i can say is perfect

  • no its only when you use the 1 and 3 combination

  • What the hell.

Talent. Pure, unadulterated talent right there. Whoaaaaaaa.

  • That was amazing for anyone. Compare your ability to his and you'll feel like an ass. Then, compare your age and talent to his and you'll really feel like an ass.

  • Wow, thats sad. He uses 3 valve for his A's, C#'s, and all other 1+2 fingerings. Thats not good, considering its obviously out of tune.

  • psh i think you should reconsider that comment could you play that

  • well, he or she is sort of right...

  • well i mean hey i wouldnt mind being out of tune to play that ya know.. i mean he could adjust his tuning

  • You all realize that A is a flat note, naturally. When played on as third valve, it raises the pitch slightly and the note is actually sharp. When playing at speeds such as Ruben, many notes flatten out (and in the nature of this piece, he plays many flat notes) - however, his third valve A's? They're in tune. So your "ew he plays with the third valve" argument isn't really all that valid.

The only thing I could see incorrect about his playing is his right-hand-fingers' position. ;D

  • there are no incorrect ways of playing on a finger variation. it all comes down to how no your techniques, your tuning of each note, and how comfortable you feel play a middle "A" with valves 1+2 or just 3, or the high "A" with the 2nd valve although its extremely flat, but it all depends on how tuned it is. And can any one of the negative critics pack a house like he does? Nah I don't think so.

  • A is a sharp note not flat. In the staff and above the staff. They're sharp. That's why we use the first valve slide.

  • The reason for his playing of A's and C#'s on third valve is because it is faster. When playing that fast you should play any one and two note with three. It is used more with trills, but in this situation with such a difficult and fast piece, it is actually better.

  • I always play As on third because I find it is easier to pitch - and I play them in tune too. It doesn't matter what valves you use for tuning - if you're good you could hit a note in tune with a half valve. Personally I can't fault this guy - technique is amazing too.

  • but when playing that quickly could u even notice tuning problems??? if not then it would be perfectly fine to use alternate fingerings

  • q chino tan bueno, no joda!!!

  • a younger version of George Werner circa 1946

  • joder como tocas!! ojala yo yegase a tokar asi!! madre mia!! si señor!! ole ole y ole!!
