  • Thanks for the review! Nice to go behind the scenes to learn more about where good coffee comes from and its impact on the lives who bring us delicious brew. You rock!!!

  • @8meadows8 Thank you Ms. Meadows! I'm pretty sure you rock more, but thank you so much for the compliment!

  • Always gotta rag on Starbucks man! Any way, is there a certain way to taste the notes in coffee? I like drinking light coffees but I don't really taste the cocco spice notes.

  • @davideshafer Yeah, I do tend to rag on Starbucks, but it is just the nature of the beast. You can't have excellent coffee in the vast quantity that they produce. That is why they over-roast it. The dark roasting eliminates the unique characteristics of the coffees and makes them all taste like campfire. Some light coffees have notes of citrus, flowers, milk chocolate, butter, brown sugar, and whatever you can think to liken the subtle flavors to. I've also noted cumin, kitty litter, ...

  • @davideshafer and nailpolish remover...and those are the bad ones. These flavors are not the predominant flavor of the coffee, but rather hints of flavor in the background. The more coffees you taste, the more you will find how they differ. Find a local coffee roaster and take a coffee cupping class and you'll soon see what I'm referring to.

  • Camano Island sound great
