If you're are under 16 and can't get a "real" job, then wash cars or mow lawns to earn the money next time the concert is in your area. I went two nights in a row at Honda Center at $75 per ticket both nights ($150) and the money was well spent. Who knows when or if the concert will ever happen again, so go if you get a chance.

@Edgehead74 Dude, you have to go to that concert. You won't regret it. I spent $75 for my ticket and it was awesome. I was there for the first show and the next night, too, Well worth the money. In the lobby they have props and costumes from the movies, plus local 501st and Rebel Legion costumers posing for photos. Listening to it on iPod is not the same as going to the concert. Just go.

@Tatooinedragracer I did end up going after all. My mom bought tickets anyway so she offered that I come. It was pretty good although the thing that bothered quite a bit me was the colossal screen with the movie clips playing it really took the focus away from the music. My favorite songs were the ones that had the screen showing the actual musicians.

I like the NPR radio dramas. I have them all on tape. That's pretty rad. For music concerts I like Baroque chamber music ensembles at a small venue. This seems over-produced.

Yeah, I just saw this tonight in Norfolk, VA! I was totally blown away! What an incredible production. Not just another George Lucas "pimping" of the Star Wars franchise. Truly a unique experience. I encourage any SW fan to see it!!

its roughly a 2hr show, arrive at least 1.5hrs early to brave the lines and the mob, especially if you want to see all of the props and pose for pictures with some of the 501st.

How long was this concert? 15 minutes? I can't think of more than two songs/ melodies from that movie. Did they play songs from other movies as well? Perhaps Superman, or Indiana Jones.

lol the performance was about 2 hours, the Star Wars Saga has many epic scores, they played some of the main themes from all 6 movies, since most of the themes carry through most of the films.

It was only a Star Wars concert, not a John Williams concert so there was no Jaws or Indy or anything else.

But John does perform a lot at the Hollywood Bowl, if you're local and interested

we went to the concert here at the new cowboys stadium last night, it was about 2 hours... besides having the large screen behind them, they also projected it on the hugh screen above the audiance on the stadium floor. Now that was like WOW, on a screen that goes from the 20 yard line to the other 20 yard line..

Well at Honda Center, I honestly believe my seats towards the sides were better than the way back center... you're closer to the orchestra and can appreciate the 3 story LED screen better... although I'm sure from the center, the full view of the screen & orchestra is as it was designed to be viewed... I just believe closer is better no matter which angle you have... and thats my .2 cents :)

oops, I accidently discarded somebody's question. Every Orchestra John Williams plays with depends on his venue unless he's touring with a specific one. This orchestra was the official Star Wars In Concert touring orchestra so I doubt John has ever conducted them.
