Japanese government 's principle was that Japan make an ally of Asian's civilians. So, Japanese troops can't have done civilian's massacre. Do you know ? 'actions taken in a combat against Chinese soldiers in a war' which is legality. Japan fought fair with the Chinese troops, On the other hand, China commited a lot of crime against international law. for example, Chinese soldier didn't wear military uniform etc...
@kaito8209 they fought fair with chinese soldiers but they didnt do fair with civilians..
ohkay chinese army and soldiers at the time were just millitias they can afford uniforms for millions of soldiers.. what is the other etc? not wearing uniform isnt a bad crime
【Part6】However, no such documents were presented as evidence.
What lies were you taught in school? But I don't blame you. I blame your government for changing history to lesson the crimes your ansestors . I hope someday you'll find out and accept the truth.
【Part5】The fatal damage to Japan would have been inevitable. Having been well aware of these circumstances, the Japanese government had to absolutely avoid unnecessary and unlawful acts.
If the massacre of 300,000 persons had been planned, systematic planning procedures would have been necessary. If so, there must have been many official documents regarding mobilization plans through operation plans.
【PartⅢ】Although there lived more than 200,000 Chinese in Nanking eight years before, those Chinese were unwilling or negative in prosecuting the already defeated Japanese for their crimes, or very few could give reliable testimonies.

【PartⅡ】It was reported, however, that few responded to the crimes committed by Japanese Army and some refused to testify or to deny the massacre occurred when they were asked for details. Then, the KMT reluctantly submitted the tentative report to the IMTFE on January 20, 1946. Except for one 'testimony' made by a man named Lu Su, no other evidence of 'massacre by the Japanese Army' was available, besides burial records.
【PartⅠ】According to Summary report on the Investigation of Japanese war crimes committed in Nanking, prepared by the Procurator of the District Court in Nanking, to prepare for the IMTFE, the KMT set up the 'Nanking Investigation Committee for Antagonists' Crime' on November 7, 1945, and appealed to the Chinese public to report Japanese Army's crimes.
【Part4】the U.S. government began to think of drastic economic sanctions against Japan. In this situation, if the Japanese Army had constituted an infringement of international humanitarian laws in the manner of repeatedly committing atrocities to citizens and POWs, westerners would have been critical and the U.S. and Europe would have started economic sanctions against Japan accordingly.
【Part3】On the contrary, Japan had a motive to avoid illegal actions. In those days Japan, running short in natural resources, entirely relied on the U.S. and Europe for the import of munitions and fuel, actually 65% of the import was from the U.S. and Europe. The embargo from the U.S. was barely avoided at the close of the Manchurian Incident, but at the start of the China Incident,
【Part2】If the 'Nanking Massacre, had actually existed, there might have been some motivation. Indeed it was an argument of motivation that the Prosecution never tried to dispute so far. 【Part1】no Japanese high officials had ever become aware of the 'Nanking Massacre'.In those days Japan had no motive for conducting the mass killing of the Chinese citizens. In Germany, the holocaust, which might be frequently compared with the so-called 'Nanking Massacre' recently, was driven from a 'dominant motive' under the 'policy for extermination of Jewish people'.

All in all, the flood waters took an estimated 500,000 lives.
(Part1)Japan had no intention of starting the war against China, and immediately ordered the front army not to expand the battle beyond and cease fire swiftly and peacefully, as the Emperor Showa (Hirohito) so strongly wished.8 The cease-fire agreement was reached in four days. However, China broke the agreement. Japan reluctantly dispatched three more divisions on July 27 to North China. On the 29th, in the city of Tungchow (Thongzhou),

You folks need to brush up on your knowledge of China: Chiang in the 30s only defacto really ruled the coastal provinces from around Guangdong up to around Hubei, Henan, Jiangsu, etc. The rest of the provinces like Sichuan, Shandong, Shaanxi, Gansu, etc were ruled by defacto-independent warlords and of course the Communists controlled Shanxi province. Xinjiang and Tibet were basically out of Chinese control and pretty much were independent entitiies.
And the japanese occupied the Northeast, including Inner Mongolia and and was ever encroaching southward.
The armies that Chiang commanded were light infantry armies that were assembled to fight warlords and communists not a modern (though NOT advanced) armed force like imperial japan's. Chiang's army going against the japanese armed forces was the equivalent of Georgia (despite China's size) fighting Russia a couple years ago. That's how weak Chiang's armed forces were.
Take note that the japanese imperialist army was not "up to snuff" against a modern army as was shown when the Soviets just beat the shit out of the japanese army in the 1939 border skirmishes where the Red Army wasn't even trying.
China paid high price for being complacent.Chiang Kai Shek regime was corrupt.Chinese soldiers were given only 6 bullets to fight the Japs.Jus timagine that
i saw a ducumentary in hi9ghschool that the german soldiers too got only about 6 bullets....some only got bullets so they would pick up the gun of a fallen troop ahead of them. i guess its just war...not enough recources back then.
6 bullets? It would be better to issue spears and sling shots if that were the case. I know they couldn't afford to give every soldier a helmet or food but they had to provide more ammo than that, rifles aren't free after all and bullets are cheap. Perhaps you mean they were trained with only six bullets? That would make sense.
@BigBananaMan Yeap. I read an interview with a WW2 chinese volunteer.Only 6 bullets to fight the Japs..Thats why the chinese prefer to retreat rather than fight.
(Part2) some 250 Japanese residents were murdered by the Chinese troops, and this incident was being called the 'Tungchow Massacre'.9 In August 1937, the Japanese government formulated the peace proposal. Both the Japanese Army and Navy agreed to this peace proposal. What this proposal implied was that all the interests Japan had acquired since the Manchurian Incident should become nullified. This was indeed a drastic concession, which Japan had ever conceded.
(Part3)However, the peace negotiation between Japan and China crumbled immediately due to the incident in which two soldiers were slaughtered in Shanghai on the very day the peace negotiation started in shanghai between Japan and China. The KMT was building up their troops in great number in Shanghai. During that time, there were a large number of Japanese residents. To defend them, there was only one defending unit consisting of 4,000 combatants.
(Part4)To the Japanese unit, the KMT sent a numerically far superior number of troops consisting of thirty divisions on August 13. Thus, the war expanded to Shanghai. Japan organized the Shanghai Expeditionary Forces, and deployed them to Shanghai. By that time, Japan had abandoned the existing non-expansion policy.
I have heard this song so often that I can almost sing it--
my father may have watched this--or the clip was replayed when I was growing up. My father volunteered for the China Air Task force.--these were played in movie houses all over America to recruit the high school boys as volunteers--you could choose your
Theatre of war as a volunteer--my father was half German and so did not want to fight in Europe.
If you would believe Nanking massacre was real, why don't you blame Chiang Kai-shek for escaping from Nanking while having deserted a lot of soldiers.
Chiang Kai Shek retreated and left Nanking in order to spare Nanking from further destruction. Remaining Nationalist forces cocnducted rear guard action and in the end surrender. Japan had no reason to commit massacre. If Japan had not massacre maybe China would have surrender and allied with Japan instead Nanking massacre united China and boldster their morals to resist Japan to the end.
Stay tuned; the 30 million people that died at the hands of the Japanese in world war II; 12 million in the rape of Nanking and the rest throughout Asia, will be avenaged at the hands of the North Koreans; it won't be long CNN news will report a thermal nuclear weapon has been denoted over Toyko, Kyoto, or some Japanese city of millions of people...
Seriously guys, sending supplies to a nation under attack isn't called "helping". Helping means that you participate in reliving the nation's most prominent problem. I for one think that the US sent supplies to China because they want people to believe that they have made a contribution to the war efforts in the early years of WW2, and to free themselves from the guiltiness of not having helped their European allies AND the countries that are under attack.
I agree with that.. funny too how China and USA then fought eachother 5 years later after ww2 ended in Korea.USA seems to have a habit of fighting friends after making them and helping enemies after fighting them (ie. UK and Japan)
the us didnt fight with the china that had been in ww2 that was nationalist china and the china they fought in korea/vitenam was and is communist china
Maybe, maybe not but it was Chinese soldiers fighting UN and given that many of them had fought in the GMT army and thuse had been trained by the US and Germany and then became members of the PLA, then you could say my point is valid. Anyway I was speaking in board terms..
Excellent video. It's a propaganda video but it appears to get most of the facts right. The classical music score is well-chosen: Russian, somber. (Rimsky-Korsakov, "Pictures at an Exhibition")
Still this is history... the lesson should be to not repeat it. The Japanese suffered greatly in WWII as well.
Oh and then what? you will feel better fuckwit? Making our great people look as bad as the Japnese of old? You sound like some fo the other idiots that post here..
how is Nationalist China France of Asia.France had their whole place taken over by nazis almost and they were backed up by other allies of US and Britain. The Kuomintang fought with the Chinese themselves for 7 years without any aid until the japs bombed pearl harbor.
Stupid american what do you know about history?!? US never backed up France and Britain until after Pearl Harbour!!! Europe faced the Nazis alone. French army was not prepared and French made major strategic mistake. Britain was left alone fighting against all Europe. USA decided to make a move after pearl harbour and as they saw Russia was winning the war. As for the Chinese "resistance against Japan" it would not have help anything without the Russian.
President Franklin Roosevelt began sending muntions, food, and supplies to Great Britain starting in January 1940. Total aid to Allies was about $50 billion. US began re-arming and building an army in 1940.
Not true. President Roosevelt was a great friend of China. He continually opposed the Japanese invasion of China. In 1941, Roosevelt refused to sell oil to Japan and Japan responded by bombing Pealr Harbour.
Not true. During World War II, the US sent the Soviet Union and China billions of dollars in military equipment, food, and supplies. US sent the Soviet Union 400,000 trucks and thousands of airplanes.
When Shan kai check faced ALONE (no communist, no western help) the Japanese invasion he begged the american for military help... he couldn't get it. At first he avoided direct conflict. Then he decided if he stopped the Japanese in Shanghai then the western country will help him & see he also can win... He lost many men in Shanghai. But still no help came. Don't tell me american helped China. For the soviet Union I don't know.
fuck hundreds of p-40, nothing, us couldn't face the people around the world to bring bad reputation of us not helping, this little 100 p-40 is nothing, should do more
From December 7, 1941 to September 1945, the US sent billions of dollars in military equipment, thousands of air force troops, food, and medical supplies to China. Much of the aid was flown from India to China over the Himalaya Mountains. Thousands of Americans died in China fighting the Japanese.
What you say is probably true. My point is USA didn't really involved itself until after Pearl Harbour. Ok they gave money/ weapon/ supply... but that is nothing; meaning certainly not enough to win the war! It would have been strange had usa refused material help to their european ally.
During World War I (1917-1918), the USA sent troops to fight in France. Each month 10,000 Americans were killed in battle and thousands suffered terrible injuries. After 100,000 Americans were killed in France, Americans believed the soldiers died for nothing. It was Europe's war, not ours. So, Americans became isolationist.
China in 1937? Americans had great sympathy for the suffering of China when Japan invaded, but not many wanted to die for China.
Thousands of Americans died in China?!?!?!? No they didnt lost thousands.. it was the Chinese doing most of the fighting and most of the dying.. the Burma China supply road was built by Chinese labourers not US.. US combat troops were not sent in great numbers their main combat eoffrt was the so claeed Flying Tigers air group. How about the hundreds of thousands of Chinese who died doing their bit for the Allied War Effort huh?
american are not only stupid but bunch of coward and self interest pig , american didn't stand behind france, england in early war as well as china and the rest of the world
Wow, the ignorance is staggering. The Soviet Union outweigh China in terms of manpower, economic and industrial strength during world war 2. China was unable to fight off the Japanese alone, they needed the added assistance of the allied powers moron. The Soviet Union was not only able to fight off the nazi invasion, but also able to moblize their armies to take the fight to the enemy. So think before you post

Xinjiang and Tibet were basically out of Chinese control and pretty much were independent entitiies.
lukebccb 1 year ago
And the japanese occupied the Northeast, including Inner Mongolia and and was ever encroaching southward.
The armies that Chiang commanded were light infantry armies that were assembled to fight warlords and communists not a modern (though NOT advanced) armed force like imperial japan's. Chiang's army going against the japanese armed forces was the equivalent of Georgia (despite China's size) fighting Russia a couple years ago. That's how weak Chiang's armed forces were.
lukebccb 1 year ago
Take note that the japanese imperialist army was not "up to snuff" against a modern army as was shown when the Soviets just beat the shit out of the japanese army in the 1939 border skirmishes where the Red Army wasn't even trying.
That's how weak Chiang's armies were.

This is all Western Propaganda .. The Communists did most og the Fighting in The WW2 ... against the Japanese ...
wile the nationalist actually had an agreemen with the invading Japanese , to help them fight the communists .
The Nationalist forces were treitors .

China paid high price for being complacent.Chiang Kai Shek regime was corrupt.Chinese soldiers were given only 6 bullets to fight the Japs.Jus timagine that
ali4330 2 years ago
i saw a ducumentary in hi9ghschool that the german soldiers too got only about 6 bullets....some only got bullets so they would pick up the gun of a fallen troop ahead of them. i guess its just war...not enough recources back then.
jootaobeng 2 years ago
@jootaobeng well then that movie was a big lie.the soviets had that not the germans
Barthanorbi 1 year ago
6 bullets? It would be better to issue spears and sling shots if that were the case. I know they couldn't afford to give every soldier a helmet or food but they had to provide more ammo than that, rifles aren't free after all and bullets are cheap. Perhaps you mean they were trained with only six bullets? That would make sense.
BigBananaMan 2 years ago

This was indeed a drastic concession, which Japan had ever conceded.
kaito8209 1 year ago
@bobhope346
To defend them, there was only one defending unit consisting of 4,000 combatants.
kaito8209 1 year ago
@bobhope346
(Part4)To the Japanese unit, the KMT sent a numerically far superior number of troops consisting of thirty divisions on August 13. Thus, the war expanded to Shanghai. Japan organized the Shanghai Expeditionary Forces, and deployed them to Shanghai. By that time, Japan had abandoned the existing non-expansion policy.
kaito8209 1 year ago
Chiang Kai Shek let the Japanese walk right in. The Communists actually resisted them instead of trying to fight a civil war.

If you would believe Nanking massacre was real, why don't you blame Chiang Kai-shek for escaping from Nanking while having deserted a lot of soldiers.
bobhope346 2 years ago

MeatJigglingZombie 2 years ago
I agree with that.. funny too how China and USA then fought eachother 5 years later after ww2 ended in Korea.USA seems to have a habit of fighting friends after making them and helping enemies after fighting them (ie. UK and Japan)
kempaku982 2 years ago
the us didnt fight with the china that had been in ww2 that was nationalist china and the china they fought in korea/vitenam was and is communist china
thetrickster123456 2 years ago
Maybe, maybe not but it was Chinese soldiers fighting UN and given that many of them had fought in the GMT army and thuse had been trained by the US and Germany and then became members of the PLA, then you could say my point is valid. Anyway I was speaking in board terms..

Excellent video. It's a propaganda video but it appears to get most of the facts right. The classical music score is well-chosen: Russian, somber. (Rimsky-Korsakov, "Pictures at an Exhibition")
Still this is history... the lesson should be to not repeat it. The Japanese suffered greatly in WWII as well.

how is Nationalist China France of Asia.France had their whole place taken over by nazis almost and they were backed up by other allies of US and Britain. The Kuomintang fought with the Chinese themselves for 7 years without any aid until the japs bombed pearl harbor.
anson7712 3 years ago
Stupid american what do you know about history?!? US never backed up France and Britain until after Pearl Harbour!!! Europe faced the Nazis alone. French army was not prepared and French made major strategic mistake. Britain was left alone fighting against all Europe. USA decided to make a move after pearl harbour and as they saw Russia was winning the war. As for the Chinese "resistance against Japan" it would not have help anything without the Russian.
Caramonn 2 years ago
Not true.
President Franklin Roosevelt began sending muntions, food, and supplies to Great Britain starting in January 1940. Total aid to Allies was about $50 billion. US began re-arming and building an army in 1940.
rjscheppy 2 years ago
Not true. President Roosevelt was a great friend of China. He continually opposed the Japanese invasion of China. In 1941, Roosevelt refused to sell oil to Japan and Japan responded by bombing Pealr Harbour.
rjscheppy 2 years ago
Not true. During World War II, the US sent the Soviet Union and China billions of dollars in military equipment, food, and supplies. US sent the Soviet Union 400,000 trucks and thousands of airplanes.
rjscheppy 2 years ago
When Shan kai check faced ALONE (no communist, no western help) the Japanese invasion he begged the american for military help... he couldn't get it. At first he avoided direct conflict. Then he decided if he stopped the Japanese in Shanghai then the western country will help him & see he also can win... He lost many men in Shanghai. But still no help came. Don't tell me american helped China. For the soviet Union I don't know.
Caramonn 2 years ago
Before December 7, 1941, President Roosevelt sent hundreds of P-40 warplanes and pilots to China. They were called the Flying Tigers.
rjscheppy 2 years ago
fuck hundreds of p-40, nothing, us couldn't face the people around the world to bring bad reputation of us not helping, this little 100 p-40 is nothing, should do more
pokermaniac0978 2 years ago
From December 7, 1941 to September 1945, the US sent billions of dollars in military equipment, thousands of air force troops, food, and medical supplies to China. Much of the aid was flown from India to China over the Himalaya Mountains. Thousands of Americans died in China fighting the Japanese.
rjscheppy 2 years ago
What you say is probably true. My point is USA didn't really involved itself until after Pearl Harbour. Ok they gave money/ weapon/ supply... but that is nothing; meaning certainly not enough to win the war! It would have been strange had usa refused material help to their european ally.
Caramonn 2 years ago
During World War I (1917-1918), the USA sent troops to fight in France. Each month 10,000 Americans were killed in battle and thousands suffered terrible injuries. After 100,000 Americans were killed in France, Americans believed the soldiers died for nothing. It was Europe's war, not ours. So, Americans became isolationist.
China in 1937? Americans had great sympathy for the suffering of China when Japan invaded, but not many wanted to die for China.
rjscheppy 2 years ago
Thousands of Americans died in China?!?!?!? No they didnt lost thousands.. it was the Chinese doing most of the fighting and most of the dying.. the Burma China supply road was built by Chinese labourers not US.. US combat troops were not sent in great numbers their main combat eoffrt was the so claeed Flying Tigers air group. How about the hundreds of thousands of Chinese who died doing their bit for the Allied War Effort huh?
kempaku982 2 years ago
what about troops, us should help soviet , western europe and china in troops and weapon during early ww2

France was backed by the UK and US and still surrendered in 6 month, while China fought alone for 8 years and never surrendered.

china is like soviet union in ww2 idiot
pokermaniac0978 2 years ago
Wow, the ignorance is staggering. The Soviet Union outweigh China in terms of manpower, economic and industrial strength during world war 2. China was unable to fight off the Japanese alone, they needed the added assistance of the allied powers moron. The Soviet Union was not only able to fight off the nazi invasion, but also able to moblize their armies to take the fight to the enemy. So think before you post
