  • Thanks for the Berlin memories. Was stationed there '68-'70 at the ASA Field Station.

  • Herrliche Aufnahmen!!

  • 2:34 i SO want that letter jacket, if anyone knows how to get one of these, message me!

  • Wow, mein Zuhause, mein schönes Zehlendorf. Ich liebe Berlin

  • We (my sister and me) know this all, we were children from the south of West-Berlin ( *1963 and *1960-my sister) and remember this time very well. We went there with mother and grandfather for trips and so forth.

It was a wonderful time with nice people and without cruelty or dirt in the BVG or so.

  • Wow, that brings back memories. When Dad was stationed at Berlin Brigade in 1970-72, we lived in the Zehlendorf section of Berlin. I remember the Onkel Toms Hutte and Oskar Helene-Heim U-bahn stations. Amazing stuff! Thanks for sharing!

  • @dan1701a -- It's fun reading comments from people who were there at that time. I wasn't around Clayallee as much as some, but there always was something or someone interesting to see when I did get there.

  • @dan1701a

you American war criminals attacking one country after another shame on you.

    you will NEVER conquer Beijing!

  • @TheSunmanho Is there currywurst in Beijing? If not, then we're not going there.

  • @rwrynerson you made my day ! Thanks !

  • @rwrynerson BEIJING or PEKING -I hear the duck is good

  • Thats´s great! Videos from the old A2 trains in regular service are very very rare. Thanks for sharing.

  • wunderschön!

  • schöne historische aufnahmen!

  • Thanks for sharing this, like many other commenters, I grew up in that part of Berlin and of course this brings back many memories....

  • damn..great video

somany thigs have changed..but you can still see the u-bahn stations are like they wehre 30 years ago...its crazy to see all this...in a hood where i grow up ...how it was a long time ago

  • Vielen Dank für diese wundervolle Erinnerung-Danke.

  • What an amazing video! I was born in Zehlendorf in summer 1972 and it's just so cool to get the feeling for the city at that time. Thanks for uploading this!!

  • Girls Watchers Corner

  • Great! I love it! 5*

  • wow this is very nice !

  • ok. that`s the way it was. 5*

  • Brilliant video, thank you! Word is, that's Jim Biernesser in the '73 high school jacket.

  • Thanks for a view to the past! I lived in Berlin from May 73 until end of July 77 when I was a kid (5th-9th grade) and these images where great to see again. I lived maybe 100 yards from Oskar-Helene-Heim‎ U-Bahn station and again I want to say thanks for the little movie!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you all for your comments. When I shot it, I wanted to show my family back home in the U.S. some everyday scenes. It's just lucky this film survived a half dozen moves, multiple border crossings, and exposure to heat. I hope that you have the time to visit my website, "Berlin 1969" for some stills.
