  • this is the the first game that i remember too... Played it in summer1981 with my aunts daughter in a cafe. Wish i owned the hardware and the game now.

  • Who's the brainiac who came up with that insane cheering whistle that was in every one of these intellivision sports games?

  • yeah, boxing...

    ..........this sucks

  • I used to press buttons really hard thinking it will do more damage if I press it hard.

  • @a3shuzy I feel like a lot of us probably thought that when we were younger.

  • I had this game as a child but our dog ate half of the cartridge straight ahead and we never made it past the selection screen. So many traumas.

  • MAANN I was good on this game, Dr. J vs Larry Bird is also a great game and the true start of the NBA game revolution. Check this game out and please review this one if possible, Bamestar GBA Basketball Championship. If ANY baller today can ball they and ball in these arena's, the gameplay once you understand how to plaw is sweet, the LEAGUE is ferocious man, Magic and Kareem Ugrain is there, Dr. J, Jerry west and you pick one of them tp Play with you. If we someone could add Jordan, L.Berg's in

  • the orange guys pacman the blue guys mayweather i played this way back wene and a ko the other guy saw stars

  • The red dude was the best defencive boxer and blue was best offesive( per manual) Great game to play while visiting grandparents. the 80's were a lot of fun!

  • best

  • My grand ma had two of these in her house during the 70s.one up stairs another downstairs.8 children,go figure

  • N.6 was the best

  • I LOVE this game one of the BEST and funnest boxing games at that time and still great now, thanks soo much for the memores, check my channel for a few, peace.

  • Gimme a thumbs up if think back then and say "I LOVE THE GRAPHICS TO THIS GAME."

  • I'll never forget the time my cousin and I were playing this and got a double KO. We just looked at each other in total shock. :)

  • Fight Night Championship ain't shit compared to this.

  • Wow! Brings back memories!

  • All this proves is that I'm gettin damn old.

  • Blue guy took a dive. He was paid off for sure.

  • According to the manual #6 was "unpredictable". One fight he totally owns and the next one he's a wimp! That instant-KO was pure gold and its sound was sick (PFFF!!!) and came at the most unlikely of times! LOL best memory is my 16 year old cousin using #3 and sweeping the floor with the rest of us then my much younger cousin (6 years old) fights him using #2 and she instant-KO's him in round 1!!! (even more remarkable if you recall how damn hard was to instant-KO #3)

  • I loved when it would be an instant knockout. The sound went ""blip", and he would fall out with stars around his head.

  • look like 2 aliens fighting each other

  • Those green guys always got knocked out. I use to have # 4 green guy vs #5 green guy and many times it would be a double knockout.

  • First console I ever had. I had Boxing, Baseball and one other I can't remember.

  • Looks way better than the upcoming Fight Night: Champion.

I need to get this ;)

No, just kidding. This is what I played when I was a kid. And snafu. And dig dug. And burgertime.

    Good times <3 :D

  • wasent the red boxer the best, he could take some serious beating

  • They don't make em like this anymore... Good thing.

  • Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots for the Intellivision!

  • I had this game. Wasn't one of the better Intellivision games but at least was 3 times better the Boxing for Atari!

  • I love the punches that extend downwards from shoulder height to the abdomen. And of course, when a guy gets knocked parallel to the floor but doesn't fall down. This was one of the most fun games.

  • Best Boxing game, In your Face Pounch Out!

  • Best game EVER!

  • The is the first game I remember playing.

  • Get the two fighters in close with each other -- the Intellivision equivalent of a "clinch." Hit the "feint" button. Instant knockout! Works pretty often.

(I believe that was meant as a dirty move, like throwing punches in a clinch.)

  • if only real boxing fights were as fun to watch as this!

  • One of the games I most wanted to play as a kid. That's because we had the cassette but dog had eaten part of it so it never got past the character selection...

  • I had this game!

  • Killer game from when I was in style :)

  • OMFG THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY AWESOME!!

  • Exciting.

  • mi mette angoscia:(

  • WoW that was a great game one of the best for the intellivision! what a great times!

  • Someone doesn't know to use the Blue guy right. He was the fastest hitter, he just couldn't stand a punch. The Tan and Gold guys were the harderst, they were slower but they punched harder. If the Blue guy didnt' take them out in the first 2 rounds... game over.

  • Sure didn't. When you have the Blue guy, you had to stick and move a lot better than this guy did. I hardly ever lost with him...

  • Love that classic intellivision crowd sound. Good stuff.

  • I remember this game, I remember the "stars" on the Knocked out boxer . . .
