i luv science and that would not work. first of all, the power/ movement source for the claws would have to be on the surface, and the claws would have to withstand over 2000 tons of underwater pressure. second of all, the rubber band idea would not work beacause the pressure at the bottom of the ocean would make the rubber compact, and would not allow for the stretching. one thing this video did get right, is the backfire of the rubber hose idea, beacause the oil would have to have tons of
