Hopefully congress will shoot this down in the next 30 days. if not DC will eventually put this on the ballot and the people will overturn it as they have in ALL other states that is has been put on the ballot.

However, speaker Pelosi and other prominent legislatures have indicated that with a Demicratic controlled congress, the bill is guranteed to pass review. Approx March 2010

Things are looking good for marriage equality in Maryland too! My own California
has Prop. 8, but I am absolutely certain the decision from Judge Walker will be
upheld in time. The Prop 8 trial has proven itself to be the equilvalent of the Scopes
monkey trial of the 1920's in that it was ignorance and fear on trial. And ignorance
and fear will lose. Anti-gay bias will survive but the day is now coming when
it can no more be codified in civil law.
