Sexualization? I'm not sure you know what Planned Parenthood does. They give girls resources on how to be sexually responsible and they give them information about how dangerous sex can be. I'm going to assume that your daughter came from some sort of sexual situation, correct? Sex happens, and Planned Parenthood is helping girls understand how to be safe when it does.
Also, the fact that you're raising your child like this gives me no hope that she will be a kind person in the future.

I am a fourth generation girl scout. My grandmother spent her active years as a troop leader. I spent my childhood learning many wonderful lessons and skills from the Girl Scouts, many of which were about being inclusive and reaching out to those that are "different". WOW! I never knew the GS association w/ PP. :( I just heard about the Northern Ohio region and how they were going to close camps because they said they were too costly to operate. :( I was all fired up and ready to rally up a whole fleet of men to fix the camps up if labor is required. But I did ask to see their financial sheets before labor was provided for free.
It is sad what society is becoming. :( I pray that men will start waking up and take charge of matters soon!

Sexualization? I'm not sure you know what Planned Parenthood does. They give girls resources on how to be sexually responsible and they give them information about how dangerous sex can be. I'm going to assume that your daughter came from some sort of sexual situation, correct? Sex happens, and Planned Parenthood is helping girls understand how to be safe when it does.
Also, the fact that you're raising your child like this gives me no hope that she will be a kind person in the future.

With that said, I have to say I am deeply appalled at the suggestion of boycotting the Girl Scouts. What a horrible hateful message to send to children that it's ok to treat others like you are better than them because you didn't grow up questioning your identity, and even more horrible to mask your bigotry and hate behind your religion.
I hope one day soon, you find it in your heart to love your brothers and sisters as god has made them. Not as you judge they should be.

I am a fourth generation girl scout. My grandmother spent her active years as a troop leader. I spent my childhood learning many wonderful lessons and skills from the Girl Scouts, many of which were about being inclusive and reaching out to those that are "different". It's the differences in all of us that make us all unique.

You're the one who needs to 'do your homework'. You need to do some research, to see that there really isn't anything wrong with what Girl Scouts have done.

But really, 'Do your homework' and research Planned Parenthood and maybe you'll find out that they are not there to just provide abortions, but to provide safe-sex practices in order to prevent that exact situation. I really hope your child does her own 'homework' and realizes that her mother and grandmother are incredibly ignorant and learns to form her own opinions about such matters.

WOW! I never knew the GS association w/ PP. :( I just heard about the Northern Ohio region and how they were going to close camps because they said they were too costly to operate. :( I was all fired up and ready to rally up a whole fleet of men to fix the camps up if labor is required. But I did ask to see their financial sheets before labor was provided for free.
It is sad what society is becoming. :( I pray that men will start waking up and take charge of matters soon!

@MandyPandaa - Because MEN are commanded to be leaders in their home, in the community and in the church. But for some reason, they invest way too much time in other things. As iron sharpnes iron, so one man stengthens another. GS was created by women, for women. But when it starts to go downhill, men should have stepped in and brought balance to protect what the women created. Man/woman create balance in all things... And nobody can expect one to exist without the other.

Women are JUST as capable as men of taking charge and running things, and there is absolutely no reason that men should "have to step in". Who asked them to? Who exactly decided that a man would be better to fix these problems than a woman? By your logic, women should be stepping in all over the government to fix problems men created. Don't pretend you believe in "balance".

@MandyPandaa - I have no views, I am only speaking what the good book says. If anyone has complaints, those should be taken up with the Creator. GS is a good wholesome organiation for young ladies that has gone downhill because of progressive "forward" thinking. Society as a whole needs a good dose of "backwards" in order to return it to an environment that is wholesome and nurturing for children . An environment of leadership, accountability and responsibility.
