@dominoes911 lol that's perfectly fine and btw I've been on an a330 for about 9.5 hrs and there was no rush to the bathrooms. Its perfectly spacious..
It's stupid to fly an A330 in a 7-hour flight, imagine the number of people wanting to go to the bathroom, because it only has two aisles, flights like these: Dubai to London, Qatar to Manchester e.g should be flown with A340s, 777s or A380s.
@juanjillocr y the hell r u crying what is better or what is not, if u have so much amount of money then go and buy urself whatever the fuck u want, Both Airbus and Boeing r the top 2 leading companies.
A330 IS A GOOD LOOKING AEROPLANE, BUT NOT AS ELEGANT OR GRACEFUL AS THE 777 OR THE 747. WHEN THE 777 IS COMING IN FOR A LANDING IT REALLY DOES LOOK LIKE A RAPTOR A BIRD OF PREY, WHERE AS THE A330 LOOKS LIKE A CAN WITH WIINGS, NO DISRESPECT TO AIRBUS FANS , CUZ IM A AEROPLANE FAN PERIOD.
@hawkboy000 THATS BECAUSE THE 737 HAS BEEN AROUND LONGER THAN AIRBUS IT'S SELF, AND THATS JUST ONE PLANE NOT THE WHOLE COMPANY. AIRBUS HAS CAUSED MORE FATALITIES THAN THAT, AND ITS BEEN AROUND NOT EVEN A HALF A CENTURY.THE 737 OR THE 727 HAS BEEN AROUND LONGER THAN THE WHOLE AIRBUS COMPANY. IT'S SAFE TO SAY I FEEL ALOT SAFER IN A 777, OR 747, THAN IN ANY AIRBUS. AFTER ALL IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS IT'S BEEN ALL AIRBUS PLANES CRASHING.
@char1eston airbus has not cauzed more fatalities. u need to do your research before u say stuff like that. last year august a 737 crashed into a localiser antenna while's landing so how could airbus planes be only crashing. 737 has been there before the a320 for only 20 years. divide 4,097 fatalities by 20 and 204 passengers died every year. the a320 has caused less deaths. Airbus planes has caused less deaths in recent years. most of airbus crashes occur from human error
QATAR AIRWAYS HAS NO CARE FOR THEIR PASSENGERS! They would rather strand people in the UK than help them to Singapore. WARNING! All Malaysians without an onward ticket from Singapore will be forced to buy a ticket to Kuala Lumpur during your check-in in Heathrow Airport T4.
Very very loud! The 777-300ER/777-200LR is much quiter (for those who think the A330/A340 is quieter than the 777, watch the video "Qatar Airways Boeing 777-2D7LR. A7-BBC. MAN. 25/11/09 " by Simon Lowe (1970sPlaneSpotter). Huge difference!
I absolutely love this video! Both the landing and takeoff of this jetliner is simply awesome! Excellent job! Thanks for uploading it here and I will look for many more!

@ghettoperson duh the concorde only will turn down the nose tip only for landing and take off and you can see red color on the fuselage means its a BA Concorde
earendil008, you are right about the incident with the a380 but you can not compare a plane that has more than 40 years old in servise with a pleane that barely has 3 or 4 years in service. In 10 or 11 years we would we able to compare them quite properly but not now.........
Also, they are hardly "falling out of the sky" hahaha. If anything, the A380 did an incredible job of dealing with a HUGE hole in the wing (larger than a grown adult) while continuing to fly for an hour and a half. Such collateral damage (compressor turbine discs can NOT be contained on any engine, unlike the fan blades..which is why it's critical that they never fail, and why Rolls is "in trouble") has caused many crashes (Boeing, MD jump out - ironically NOT airbus I believe)
why are we arguing between Boeing and Airbus? yes i know that they are rivals but how about we look at this way: they are both equally good and without either one of those companies the world of commercial aviation would be half as much as it is today. They way I see it, most of the airlines have airbuses as well as boeings. Although i do seriously think that Airbus should have a better name.
I posted "The best for ME" not the best in the world. we do have our own taste on airliners and I already knew the direct competitor of each aircraft since you were born. . I am not against Boeing. there's no need to argue.
@guidodeukuzeta1234 hahahah, airbus = more flight securities, an A320's familly passengers capacitiy higher than 737, A330F higher fret capacity than 747F HAHAHAH a jumbojet lose than a medium aircraft, very more fuselage and electrical equipement efficiency than boeing (no short circuit opened a cargo door or flamable kerosen gas on airbus) and a quick and sure evolution by airbus than boeing
and to finish, 747 - 800 too late, won't be a success
@guidodeukuzeta1234 Um. Then why do airlines stake billions of dollars on airbus' fleets? And while you're at it you might be able to explain why aging 777 fleets are being replaced by A330s (which were out BEFORE the 777-which was supposed to replace them initially!)

@guidodeukuzeta1234 What? Are you just GUESSING at the cost of each aircraft? You obviously know nothing about aviation, so keep opinions to yourself. The Qantas A380 returned to SIN after a brand new ROLLS ROYCE engine blew a IPT fan disc, a similar engine to one used ON the 777. A RR engine being tested for the 787 recently did the same thing. Go compare safety records of the A320 vs 737 and get back to me. I love Boeing and Airbus but please don't bash for no reason!
@guidodeukuzeta1234 Just admit that you're sharing an opinion and that both companies build a good product.
Let me throw you some facts. Sure, the 737 has been in revenue service for ~twice as long as the 320, however it's incurred five times the number of fatalities.
Also of note is the fact that ONE A330 and ZERO A340s have ever been lost in revenue flight (the A330 is still unsolved, likely weather) Looking at NTSB reports shows NO fatal A320 accidents with US-based carriers.
@EstorilEm Interestingly enough, the same NTSB database search for US-based carriers since the A320 entered service showed 9 fatal accidents involving the 737 (and again, 0 for the A320) this is also significant since this is only from 1988 on - most of the 737 accidents happened before that time.
Total fatal accidents for all models from 88+ are: Boeing 29, Airbus 3. Obviously this doesn't factor in flight-hours. Anyways, I like Boeing (777-300ER!) also, but I'm just talking facts here.
@guidodeukuzeta1234 The european Airplanes are just as good as boeing. I mean... look at the 747. So many have crashed or have had incidences. A plane needs to be improved as they find more and more specific failures. And the A380 that landed in singapore landed due to an engine failure... The engine was made by Rolls Royce (and i know that Boeing uses those engines, too). Nobody got hurt! I can name you several cases in which a 747 crashed and hundreds died
Excuse my noobness but, what are those flashing lights on the plane for? is it just to make the plane look cooler or they actually have a purpose? is there any other reason than just yo spot the plane? i always wanted to know.
@marcong88 It is for visual warning at night. They have things like TCAS, but the lights are still there to let planes within visual distance know they are there.
@argemug No sir, this is not an A310. The image looks a bit strange as it is taken with widescreen properties. This plane is definately an A330. The most obvious proof for this are the winglets. A310s do not have them, but much smaller wingtips. The engines and wingspan are more indicators. And last but not least is the fact that Qatar doesn't have any A310s in their fleet.
@Captainbritishair you knw if i went to a flight club and got my PPL and build up my flying hours do you think i will i b able to fly for a commerical Airline?
and if i went to a flight school will i need any spesific qualifications? another question which is cheaper flight club or flight school? please reply to this.
@MrMichael510 I'm not sure what you mean by flight club, but I can tell you that going through Flight school untill you finish the whole course. It will cost about £72, 000 in the UK, so either way, it is expensive.
Just a PPL and flying hours? Thats not enough if you want to be a commerical pilot. Youll need a PPL, Instrument Rating, CPL and ATPL as well as many flying hours.
Being a pilot is a HUGE Commitment, so create your decisions wisely
Actually the A330-s engines are older tech than boeing 777. They have a lower thrust rating and don't climb as quickly or fly as fast. The Airbus max cruise is mach .86 while the 777-200 can go to mach .95!
@dominoes911 lol that's perfectly fine and btw I've been on an a330 for about 9.5 hrs and there was no rush to the bathrooms. Its perfectly spacious..

in all aspects boing is better than airbus exept if you campare the size of the 747 and the 380.
737vs 319/320/321= 737 better
747 vs380= 747
767 vs 330= 767
777 vs 340= 777
787 vs (350) = 787
what means that boeing rules and that is much betterrrrrr!!!

Also of note is the fact that ONE A330 and ZERO A340s have ever been lost in revenue flight (the A330 is still unsolved, likely weather) Looking at NTSB reports shows NO fatal A320 accidents with US-based carriers.
EstorilEm 1 year ago

Excuse my noobness but, what are those flashing lights on the plane for? is it just to make the plane look cooler or they actually have a purpose? is there any other reason than just yo spot the plane? i always wanted to know.
marcong88 1 year ago
@marcong88 It is for visual warning at night. They have things like TCAS, but the lights are still there to let planes within visual distance know they are there.

this is a A-310 no A-330
sory I´m not speek english XD
argemug 1 year ago
@argemug No sir, this is not an A310. The image looks a bit strange as it is taken with widescreen properties. This plane is definately an A330. The most obvious proof for this are the winglets. A310s do not have them, but much smaller wingtips. The engines and wingspan are more indicators. And last but not least is the fact that Qatar doesn't have any A310s in their fleet.
mixen82 1 year ago
@argemug Look at it properly.
1. Qatar Airways do not own any A310s.
2. If it was an A310, it would not have any winglets.
3.A310 is not as long as the A330.
Get it right before commenting xD

Actually the A310 has tiny wingtips

@Captainbritishair you knw if i went to a flight club and got my PPL and build up my flying hours do you think i will i b able to fly for a commerical Airline?
and if i went to a flight school will i need any spesific qualifications? another question which is cheaper flight club or flight school? please reply to this.
THANK YOU
MrMichael510 1 year ago
@MrMichael510 I'm not sure what you mean by flight club, but I can tell you that going through Flight school untill you finish the whole course. It will cost about £72, 000 in the UK, so either way, it is expensive.
Just a PPL and flying hours? Thats not enough if you want to be a commerical pilot. Youll need a PPL, Instrument Rating, CPL and ATPL as well as many flying hours.
Being a pilot is a HUGE Commitment, so create your decisions wisely

@MrMichael510 To be honest, I don't know for sure, but I can tell you, the more you have, the better chance you have of being employed

Speed/Mach is irrelevant unless you are going supersonic .

where @ manchester airport was this filmed?
nicholas6152 1 year ago
Actually the A330-s engines are older tech than boeing 777. They have a lower thrust rating and don't climb as quickly or fly as fast. The Airbus max cruise is mach .86 while the 777-200 can go to mach .95!

Much quieter than Boeing's planes. Boeing sucks.
