I finally figured it out! If you game share to at least one psp, you get BOF I main. If you game share to at least two different psps, you get BOF II main! The mystery has finally been solved.

I see what you need equipment, item, and spell-wise but I'm not understanding how that much experience is being yielded. Is it something written in the code that when you hit them with fire attacks they not only get stronger but also yield more experience than normal? Anyone have any insight?

@galstav I found that they appear more frequently in the outside portions of the zone. If u want u can farm for Powerfood(s) from the goblins there as well, not to mention the eggs have a chance to drop the Divine Helm also... :p gl

@Evol96 I just ran into one today, I Shadowalked his ass before he could cast Resist and had the Midas Stone equipped. 30,000z =] Took him a while to appear. I got all my guys up to Level 45 outside of Caer Xhan. I gotta get some more dough and go Charm the Vulcans and get some Magma Armors.

i tried it on lvl19 or so.. i used 8 or 9 molotovs and gained 3xxx exp/ hero and all were alive.. so it has to be round 1000k for one.. but i think its some kind of multiple effect? on hp recovered or on times of healing :D thats the question..

just giving some tips to some people who wanna try this but are either too low or unsure about anything then try these.

1. spam shield although if your current defense or if ur not lvl 45+ it can vary on how effective that will be.

2. use defensive stance

3. shield at least 5 times b4 u start using ur fire spells but thats optional depending on ur level. sometimes doesn't make a difference

WHAAAAAATTTT?????????? damn i wish i had known that trick when i played through this game on ps1. i fuckin walked up and down the final hallwall fighting vampires over and over again. i got to level 50 with ryu and then said fuck it. leveling takes so godamn long on this game. great game.  i really wish capcom would bring back this franchize

You don't really need that many soul gems, me I only use soul gems when I bring Momo, Peco and/or Nina to level them up. For Rei, Garr and Ryu I usually just go with Defense formation so that even after powering up the lava men to their strongest, they still won't be able to kill me. If I'm playing it safe I equip manly clothes on them.

Done the worms yesterday night, on my own way :> Ice behemoth, finished off one of the worms, then everyone except garr died, was lucky enough to revive both of em and get them to full hp, drained old mans ap, finished other worm, then killed old man. Only garr was left again in the end, he's pro :>

It makes it much easier then, say purchasing Ammonia's (Having to waste the time in battle using them). I personally think the Soul Gems to be most effective.

No chance this would work for a bunch of level 19s? I'm quite new to this game and stuck at the Old man with those 2 worms. Does total xp gained increase as he absorbs more? Because then I could just have him absorb it 4x or something.

The boss at the end of Mt Zublo can be a pain. Use Garr and get Flame inoculations and equip all the Flame Resistant Gear you find there. Kill the Old Man first, or drain his AP (Leech Power) Recommended Party Ryu, Garr, and Nina or Momo. At level 19 it would be easier to gain levels from the Vulcans.

Also if you learned "Frost Strike" from Patrio in Genmel (Colosseum Battle) , it makes this fight really easy. Frost Strike (Frost Element + Sleep Effect) Sleep works on the Worms and the Old Man...

You can find those every now and then.

A tip is to copy them at the faerie village untill you have enough. Make sure to save before you get it back though, in case the faerie had downs syndrome and broke your item.

Your using high level fire spells, otherwise if you go the moltov/simoon way it takes way more than 15x to get em maxed.

Great video man :). A lot better than mine, glad to see someone did a better job at it. My only comment is that the way you do it isn't advisable for early-game leveling due to the high costs of the soul gems. Still, your way could work if one would buy a load of ammonias and use magma armors/fire ring/asbestos armor + inoculation.

Yes, because you can fight 2 at once, and you don't have to use any Ivory Dice to max the EXP.

No, but fighting two Lava Men, with MAXED exp is the best way to gain exp in the game, also they appear much more often then the Berserker/Archmage. Only fight Berserker/Archmage to get all of their items. Holy Avenger, Aries Gloves, Rufad'sSpear...
