@rickdjew24. Years ago, I was thrilled by that same feeling in a live performance of Beethoven's Fifth Pianoconcerto. I wish I could remember at what point it happened, but it doesn't matter much, the soloist literally handed the score to the orchestra so gently that it made the conductor turn to her. I was lucky enough to see one of the most grateful smiles I've ever seen. That musicality remained floating in the concert hall during the rest of the evening.
I'm listening, enjoying this beautiful performance (Zimerman and Bernstein – hear them and die) and suddenly I realise that these things in my eyes are tears. Thank you very much for posting, it's amazing.
Beethoven was a gift from the creator to mankind, just to show us how much unlocked potential we have within ourselves. Not everyone can be a Beethoven, but we can all marvel at his greatness.
Zimerman does the great man proud. Bravo Krystian.
I love that moment at 4:24 where the orchestra had to come in, but with a softness to match that last note from Zimermann. It was just as gentle and emotional as he left it.
Krystian Zimerman shocked the audience of LA Walt Disney Concert Hall on Sunday when he stopped mid-show saying that he would no longer perform in a country whose military wants to take over the world.
Zimmerman's gentle touch and quiet expression combine to complete perhaps the best performance of this movement I have ever heard. Bravissimo, maestro!

One always remembers Beethoven for his fiery passionate music and too often forgets the delicate but heratfelt lyricism of such pieces

Wow, I'm looking at the sheet music ( I'm learning the 1st Mvt. ) and at 1:24 that's the first time I've ever seen 256th notes lol.

I have never known what it is to be in love, but it has to be like this! I'm so excited that my teacher assigned this to me.

@jambratz I wish The Emperor Darth Sidious were here still to come and give some electric shock lessons at the American school of pop.

Sadly, I only had 2 years piano lessons when a teenager,
& had to sneak to the church to practice, but I love classical music (especially piano) & love these YouTube videos; can't get enough.
How about you?

cellestialX, Why not start taking lessons again now. I did at the age of 44 and am doing great!
