  • Random House is worldwide and some countries accept email queries with short extracts. They will request the full manuscript if they like what they see. I have just submitted a full manuscript to Random House Australia and and waiting with my fingers and toes crossed.

  • @storyb4bed How'd you go?

  • @93MickyD2 Unfortunately I was unsuccessful. They were polite but used the line "we don't feel that this project is suitable for our Australian children's publishing program". Oh well, better luck next time.

  • @storyb4bed Sorry to hear that. Keep on writing.

  • very silly i agree

  • Kind of silly to title the video "How to Submit a Children's Book to Random House Publishing" and then IN the video say, "Oops, sorry. You can't submit to that particular publisher, try someone else!" Why name drop Random House to start with.

    This title is misleading.

  • anyone who is interested in writing children's books may also find the book "Writing Children's Books for Dummies" useful. it gives advice on how to brainstorm great ideas, rhyme & use humor, polish & edit words, find a great agent etc
