I haven't been following the sim, has it all been patched up and fixed now? I would love to buy this, my mouse cursor hovers over the Steam purchase whenever I look at the thing ... and then ... then I remember all the problems it was meant to have, along with all the bitching about Ubisoft not doing anything. If it's patched up and playable, I'll get a copy. Back to Wings of Prey for now. :)

How big can the air battles be?

@BVargas78 It depends of PC power. You may create 1000+ aircraft in air in Full mission Editor integrated in the sim, however I don't think that there is such PC currently on the market.

So missions in campaign optimized for the current conditipons of PC.

The game is planned for a long life on the market, like previous series of Il-2. When the first Il-2 was released there was the same conditions.

@maddox1960 That's pretty cool, so the potentials there to one day be able to do to large scale recreations of german day-time bombing raids over London, like september 15th :)

Graphically the game is not going to age in a hurry either, even several years down the line this will still be an in impressive looking game.

I hope you do a serial/keygen check on your game this time! Know that almost every player of Il-2 1946 will buy whis soon or later, but in order to do this you must eliminate the possibility of playing online with pirate version.

I'm glad they finally decided to make a IL-2 game about the Battle of Britain for the PC, but I've heard some really negative stuff about this game (something about huge lag), so I'm pirating this just to be safe. I'll buy it if it doesn't turn out to be as dissapoiting as it sounds.

I just did, and if I hadn't, I would have wasted money on an unplayable game, because it lags like hell. Hopefully they'll fix it in upcoming patches, but I'll be surprised if they would, because if they are incompitent enough to release a game in this state, then they probably aren't capable of fixing this game.

what i actually enjoyed the most was the light in this video and the detail of the planes. Scene in 0:37 is really like a gun footage IMHO and what bullets trails! and the pilot sequence
