Just as our prophet (p.b.u.h). decided to have our call to prayer be the human voice to differentiate us from Christians and Jews, there are different ways of performing the prayer..it is politics,anyone with common sense and who thinks of her/himself as true Muslim should see that there is no right or wrong way to perform prayer,arms folded, arms down. Allah does not care about that, pray the way u learned or pray the way in which ever mosque u go.Allah will be happy with u either way just pray

..the boss in this case regarding Salat would be Allah (swa),who has shown us how he wants us to worship by sending the prophet (pbuh&hf) as an example..& NO.. the example for mankind didn't just randomly pray in any old way or very different ways!

@laughterisalluneed hey! theres fajr, zuhr and night prayer, so this is 4 rackats, so you need two rackats for fajr prayer, 4 plus another 4 for zuhr (afternoon prayer) and 3 plus 4 for the night prayer. For the prayer that includes only 3 rackats you take out the 3rd rackat i believe, the shortest one. You can also do 5 prayers! 2+ 4+4+3+4. I hope this helps!!

@justinsoeung I just came from my first Juma prayer in a shia Masajid. Been praying in Sunni for 11 months. Im a new Mouslim. Salaam alaikum and Jazak Allhu Khyr Brother. And Yes, today they all prayed like this. (exept some had a small flat stone to put their foreheads on when prostrating. I dont know what that was about, but I can only guess that because of the Qur'an says, you will know your true brothers by the mark on their face. Correct me if im wrong, it is a wild guess.

@justinsoeung I just came from my first Juma prayer in a shia Masajid. Been praying in Sunni for 11 months. Im a new Mouslim. Salaam alaikum and Jazak Allhu Khyr Brother. And Yes, today they all prayed like this. (exept some had a small flat stone to put their foreheads on when prostrating. I dont know what that was about, but I can only guess that because of the Qur'an says, you will know your true brothers by the mark on their face. Correct me if im wrong, it is a wild guess.
