1st of all you should use #6 bird shot and 2nd bird shot wont penetrate walls, 3rd most gun fights are under 10 to 8 ft and inside of a house it could be closer, And i think anyone shot with # 6 shot would kill them no ?s asked at that close range. But you got it down know your gun's limit....
i prefer #4 buckshot over 00
alot more pellets and only slightly smaller
