The government can't even defend our borders from undocumented aliens, they have destroyed our educational system, they have ran every major program into the red, economically. People are hating too much on his singing. In recent interviews he has even stated that singing is relatively new to him and he has barely began doing so only within the past year. He still has great potential to mature his singing. Even at the end of the day he has a spot in the greatest guitar players of all time.

The point is not to just give to charity to alleviate the suffering on particular occasions. However important on many occasions, charity will aways be a drop in the ocean. What Tom does is adress the reasons that make people be in need of charity, and attack the policies that do, so his actions are more important than charity.
Other than that, the band has given a lot to charity all these years, who are you to say how much they should give to charity?
