    Barsheba : "I don't love you it's so ridiculous"

Gabriel: "and I'll ask you not more"

  • she says: "I need somebody to tame me" ... Puke

  • one shot, and the dog is gone...

  • I had dislike Oak for shooting the dog. I wish they'd shot him when his face became distorted while playing the flute in the muster's place, Oak would had believe he will be rewarded.

  • this poor farmer did not kick and abuse his nor did he do anything do anything unethical. W

  • "I'd need somebody to tame me, you'd never be able to do that."

    "Who says I couldn't?"

oh damn...I think that was a dare. that line delivery was purrrfect.

  • "Because i dont love you."

    "Well i love you"

Love the innocence, but i'm afraid life is a lot more crueler and harsher than that Gabriel.

  • Poor dog!

  • he had the stupid dog lead them to that drinking trough --I think it was leading them to water -the ocean---poor sheep-poor dog-poor farmer Oak

  • THATS SO SAD

  • That's the movie's title...Far From the Madding Crowd, by Thomas Hardy.

  • FFTMC - what does this stand for? As in, what's the name of this film?

  • Yes, you're right!Thank you!

  • I don't understand this scene with the dog leading the sheeps to the sea... Why did it does that? Or the sheeps are going to the sea by themselves, and the dog try to stop them? Can someone explain to me, I'm french and perhaps there something I didn't get.

  • Sure, the dog is young and inexperienced and has not understood the concept of when and how the sheep are to be rounded up, but part of the blame must lie with farmer oak as well.

Firstly the sheep dog should of been resting alongside his master indoors, and secondly the sheep should of been in a more secure pen than what they were. So Oak must take part of the blame there.

  • that was quite funny, the dog knew it was going to get killed ... i would have beaten the hell out of that dog before killing it :)

  • I loved this film! Does anybody know where I can find it to buy?

  • have they used the line "whenever you look up theyre shall i be" in another show becuase i swear I'v heard it used before.

how did he learn her name???

  • Well that is the world's worst sheep dog

  • this is the third movie i've seen where there are sheeps commiting mass suicide. lol. y do they always jump off a cliff? also, was it necessary to kill the dog? sheeesh.

  • if you are assuming , as i did mistakenly that this 1998 film version is better than the 1967, after suffering through the first 10 clips, i opted to close it. its characters all act as if they have'nt slept for 4 days. the 1967 film is flamingly alive with fiery acting.

  • Hate that scene cus of the sheep and dog:( but love the rest of the film :)

  • What's for dinner? LAMB!

  • the dog is not to blame..I did not like that scene...........

  • Poor dog! Looking at him with it's i'm-innocent-eyes

  • FFTMC???

  • Far From The Madding Crowd

  • So, I guess the lesson is don't set up a sheep farm near a cliff.

  • i am reading this novel at the moment i like the story line and the plot of the novel but i really hate hardy as a writer cos if u read it, takes about 2 and 1/2 pages just to say ''he was a bachelor of 28''

  • Hardy is a very lyrical and poetic writer who really loved the countryside, customs and characters of the time. His writing can be very beautiful and touching. You'll enjoy it best if you can just lose yourself in the whole experience rather than wanting to rush the pace of the story.

  • He looks older than 28 to me..but still handsome. ;)

  • Thanks for uploading this, I've just read the book and loved it. And I'm really enjoying the movie!

I love the actress that plays Bathsheba, she's perfect for the part!

  • I'm glad you like it...It's also one of my favorite books.

  • well maybe at least he can sell the meat. He has really bad luck!

  • She has got a point there, Gabriel.

Holy shit, those poor sheeps :( Gabriel is an unlucky guy.
