I was a kid when this episode aired. I remember laughing so hard when the muppet look-a-likes burst out of the radio. How absolutely perfect.

I always thought Paul Williams and John Denver were two of the best guest starts on this show. Their looks and personalities were already so muppet like, they just blended in so well.

I don't know why, but Paul Williams has always had the scary charm to him. It was perfect however for his role in Phantom of the Paradise, and he even played the hilarious role of little enos in Smokey and the Bandit.

It seems to me that I met him at a party in the early '70s, but didn't place who he was. I'm pretty sure he gave his name as Paul Williams, and I had the feeling I should know him, but what he talked about was writing a screenplay. We had a bit of a discussion on how to handle dialog. The person I met certainly looked like a younger version ot this Paul Williams.
