The absolute best concert I ever saw live was John Kay - & I was a child of the 60's - saw a LOT of concerts... It was pouring rain like someone had moved a waterfall over the venue and he was FABULOUS! No one left! & he said if we were going to stay and listen he would stay and play! What an awesome, unbelievable performance! I wonder if he remembers it now, or if it was just another day on the road. It sure was memorable to those of us that saw it!
HIS GREAT MUSIC WAS WHEN HE SANG FROM HIS OWN WORDS FROM HIS OWN HEART IN STEAD OF BEING BOUGHT AND SOLD JUST TO GET IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. BUT HE DID WHAT HE HAD TO DO TO GET HEARD. GOD BLESS JOHN KAY
Gracias por existir John Kay, viejo amigo del rock, todos los días escucho algunos de mis viejos vinilos con su música y siempre descubro la magia de sus interpretaciones
Oh yes, I loved "My Sportin' Life" one of my fave L.P.'s from the 70's, and this was just about the best that classic had to offer! From the one minute and seven second intro to the one minute and twenty-five seconds fading outro, lyrically and musically this puppy smokes! Thanks for including the lyrics and cool pix, mkas41 I will never be able to thank you enough, this song saves(d) my life!
HELL YEAH!!!! Crank the volume, this is the SHIT!!!! Thank you mkas41, I've been begging for this for ad nauseum! 'I'm goin down to the corner, find my self a bar, I'm goin' down to the corner, I'm gonna lean up against the bar, I'm gonna sing, sing with the children, about the way things REALLY ARE!" DAMO I love John Kay, all of "My Sportin" Life" was just so damofino FINE! But, Ron Davies wrote two classics in the 70's "It Ain't Easy" and this righteous tune! From guitar intro to close just A+
