There is no amount of promotion that can make me watch fred or anything else that I intensely hate. I don't really see a problem here because I can search for whatever I want. I often list videos by the number of views. The most watched videos are usually the best ones. I never pay attention to the ratings. I think people should just focus on making better videos rather than complaining about youtube's policies. You'll probably do a lot better that way.
