If time only exist in our mind, does that mean I am not too old to pursue a job/career competing with new graduates? Since what I want is to get a job (Chemist position) where I can use a specific particular technology (I have training in that but academic only) should I pursue that though in reality, that kind of positions are not easy to find, not for someone not a newly graduate. So where is the reality in all this? U can tell me to see a bigger picture but this life is A reality at present
Chopra is too heavy on details in his writings, he should try to keep things simple as nature intended. His long drawn-out and laborious explanations of everything leave readers, such as myself, EXHAUSTED.
i want to ask mr chopra how come he managed to keep his accent indian..because the truth is the moment any indian gains fame, money and success in the US his/her accent instantly changes to american accent
It is NOT that complicated. are you looking for your purpose in life? Why don't you let your life tell you what it is. You may ask how? Just listen to the voice that is talking to you in your head.
no search for immortaliy...that is what a seeker should search for...when you find that you'll answers your lifes purpose cause if you can go on forever then you know what you want to do...but when death is knocking at your do you know what you need to do...(WANT and NEED) are different things...(they) want you to (need) life instead of (want) life...(SEEK THE TRUTH SEEKERS)...
try to give it for free and you'll teach the person in front of you. charge a bit to cover your costs and you may get to teaching the world. it costs to relay the message. it is incredibly naive to believe that charging = ripping off...
You are amazing. However, you need a new video editor. I am a student of photography and video, and would love to edit your talks. The music chosen, and the imagery opening your videos is not up to date and doesn't look professional (no offense meant to those who made them)...
deepak chopra was a devoted follower of jiddu krishnamurti. JK is the one to really watch and listen to. without wanting to compare the two, deepak only scratches the surface.
@shickboy Yes agree ,alot of what Deepak talks of and is Good I, have heard from Jiddu long ago when He was speaking ,even in the very Beginning of His Talks
just his presence makes me happy, his energy, and i feel love. and i'm attracted to him in a way wich i don't really understand. thank you for posting it
Something contradictory he says - he answers to one of the questions from the girl in short skirts saying "Time is an illusion", however towards the end of the video he goes on to explain how at his "Chopra Center" they customize sounds for people to medidate based on time & location of birth, now that is Astrology! based on timing! and contrary to his belief that time is an illusion and we create our own destinies. Now hope he is not trying to cash in on whatever possible to delude people.
Time is a way for us to record where we have been, where we are going, etc - but it is not a part of the "here and now" - which is all we have... it just a tool (illusion) we use to get by and measure activity. Yes, the planets move on their own cycles - that we measure in OUR creation of time. The whole point is that EVERYTHING is an illusion except for our consciousness. Hope that clears things up.
wineyard2007: Linear "time" is a manmade precept. When he speaks of people using mantras based on "time and location," he is speaking of our limited concept of time/ space, where an event took place within the apparent fixed clockwork of planetary movements. From our perspective, that event happened at a precise moment, but from the perspective of a multi~dimensional universe, that event is always happening: picture a circle without beginning or end, rather than a straight line.
Haha I was going to say the same thing. I love Chopra but it was hard to concentrate with that short dress. No disrespect intended...blessings to you two.

My opinion, he is overrated.

One of the Deepak Chopra's quotes: We forget sometimes that there are saints living among us.
When we meet them, we are reminded, not just of the presence
of pure divinity right here on earth, but also of our own potential,
and of the responsibility we have to try to live up to it ~
for our own sakes and for the very future of this planet.

Dear Dr. Chopra,
You are amazing. However, you need a new video editor. I am a student of photography and video, and would love to edit your talks. The music chosen, and the imagery opening your videos is not up to date and doesn't look professional (no offense meant to those who made them)...
Thanks for your beautiful insights!

We met in San Diego 10 years ago. We both had a feeling that this was the one but it still took us two years to get married. I am a very lucky man.
