From what I know, the original Century brand name was bought out by Hunter, which primarily made it's money solely from ceiling fans. The Original Century table fan was a heavy, over engineered fan, I found one that had four speeds, and it was a very handsome fan, yet, very hard to repair. Hunter still wasn't making an oscillating table fan, with the Century name still in limbo, it decided to have General Electric make the smaller table fans under the "Hunter Century" name.
that is an absoultly beautiful fan! hey i brought home my delco fridgid air motor today im going to go get it out of my car and see if i can get it to run! iv never tryed!

Thanks! Well, I let it run and the oscillator noise went away. I believe that it just needs to loosen up a bit as it seems to be new.
