this isnt a review. oh my god, NO ONE can review games anymore. he basically described what an rts was and gave background on the time period of the game.. he didnt talk about the game itself at all. and also, its not the 4th installment. if you include expansion packs, its the 5th. if you dont, its the 3rd. christ, get your facts right.

i hope, instead of the 200 population concept where cannons get 4-7 pop slots, they would make it 1 slot/unit... i really love big armies and i want to be more flexible with my armies just like in AOE2... but overall, i just love this game... i just get the feeling that my army is too small... hehe...

Aoe 3 isnt as good as 1 or 2, its not that bad of a game but the maps are way too small, the game is too simplified and the home city or whatever is really annoying

Ya, I played it and really tried to like it. Unfortunately this game is way behind in technology and really needs some serious upgrades to the interface. Try playing some blizzard games like starcraft or warcraft3 and you will see what I am talking about.

Starcraft has been around much longer but has a much better interface.

the game is Age of Empires III sucks balls. It's basically Age of Empires 2 with minor changes.

The game is about 10 year behind in technology and the interface is horribly difficult to use.

aoe 3 is very funny.love cannons area of effect ;) but as 2heartbroken says its a big mix of units. i mean the hand infantry was gone in 1700.... doppelsoldners and roblederos...why imperial?:S

but the game is very funny, best aoe with aoe2. i miss the other game playes like wonder rush or defend the wonder. on aoe 3 u can only play odinary game and deathmatch....

AOE3 is the best aoe.... aoe 1 is unplayable by today's standards, and AOE 2 was ok... the ai was incredibly stupid in that game, and splash damage on your own units was infuriating. Espeically when your own units would chase after units, and get killed by your own siege... so stupid.
