I don't get it. I just bought a new Malibu. I agree the car is not perfect but as compared to the Honda and Toyota out there I think my AMERICAN made car is the best of the ones I looked at. I agree the car has some flaws but so did the Honda's and Toyota's. No car is perfect. What makes this car so much better is that As compared to what it replaced it is like going form a cheap mobile home to a fine luxury house. I think this car can be a great thing for GM.If they don't mess it up.

The malibu has gotten more sales than the Camry, Optima, Altima, Sonata, and 6.

Also, only 2 companies are short on cash- not bankrupt. And one is doing just fine. If you realized that The Big 3 are paying their employees 68 bucks an hour, plus full health-care and union fees- compared to Honda's 30 dollars an hour and nothing else, Sure the Big 3 are gonna run out of cash and unfortunately gonna skimp on quality just to make sure Americans can enjoy life. They don't get the respect deserved.

If any of you tools have actually looked at, touched or for gods sakes driven the Malibu, you would know that it is at the top of its class. This is not coming from a biased "buy American or die" car guy, to the contrary, I own a VW Passat and an 05 Acura TL.

This is simply a great American mid-sized sedan that will outrun the now bloated and BMW 5 "wannabee" Accord or the lifeless appliance Camry. Be proud that GM finally gets it and enjoy the renaissance knuckleheads!

im honestly starting to think it looks cheap inside. they used to much of the orange leather and plastic and the steering wheel kind of looks odd compared with the rest of the cabin. no complaints about the exterior. although the base model's rims make it look a little "chubby".

everyone talks about american cars and the cheap plastics that we use in the cabin, but wait has anyone gotten in an infiniti g35 or qx 56 those cars feel more cheap to me! i think that we should voice our opinion constructively to the big 3 (well gm is the only one that seems to be listening at the moment)and not be so bias to import...but look at the 08 cts, and with all the negitive feedback from motortrend, car n driver, and road n track in begining to think they are from overseas as well.

I bought A new 2000 Malibu and a new 2002 Malibu.... Both were complete junk.. Got rid of each 1 before 30,000 miles.. I now have an Acura with 170,000 miles and it runs great.. Learn how to build a car GM!!

I rented a 2006 Malibu and drove from Dallas to North Carolina down through Florida and back to Texas. It lacked styling but was comfortable and got excellent gas milage. We averaged 31 mpg. and ran the a/c the whole trip. I think the Impala is styled much better but that's a little pricier.

Check out the cocoa/cashmere interior on the LTZ, there is nothing cheap about it. Great materials, tight fits, awesome controls and switch feel. Tiny details that make it comparable with the Audi A4.
