I remember riding this tower when it was part of the Glasgow Garden Festival in 1988. It was dismantled at the end of the festival and relocated to Rhyl. I was sorry to see it go, though Glasgow now has a new and much higher tower where this one stood. It's had a lick of paint since and the view is quite different, but it's still a fun ride.

Thanks Smuggy. And yes, KingHon, Rhyl is a shit hole. But it's my shit hole home town. The spire in the middle of the screen (13 secs) is St Thomas's. I was a chior boy there. I worked on the far sand bank (39 secs) in a wood yard. Opposite is my old sea cadets building. Poor, sad, cacky old Rhyl. Not much of a past. Less of a present. But still has a beautiful beach on a windy winter's day. And a football team that has played in the Champions League. I bet wherever KingHon's from hasn't.
