  • beautiful video from the beatles live in germany in colour 1966

  • The amplifiers sounds very fenderish.

  • I really like their trousers!

  • who are these guys? i never heard any of those songs

  • @jamsid33 They'll never amount to much.

  • hey this is interesting i wish they put the entire thing...

  • Pretty small venue cool footage.

  • 1:57 Oh My God! are they playing "Yesterday" as a electric version with electric-guitars, drumset and bass? That must be very rare. But I Like it ;)

  • That is probably the last concert that they ever performed wearing identical suits. Their hair was getting really long at that time too. Shortly thereafter the Beatles were the unofficial band of the Hip Generation.

  • Prollo recorded on Super Eight... incredible editing..well done..

  • this is a hell of a good edit!!

  • Great Sound*****

  • Circus Krone Club

  • same concert like candlestick in us

  • FAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLL MCCARTNEY, I SAW HIM

  • What a gorgeous version of Yesterday!!! I've never heard it before - and it sounds so Beatelesque

  • George look like Brian Jones.. :)))))))))))

  • Amazing that they would make Sgt Pepper within a few months of this

  • Christ! The volumes a bit loud on my headphones.

  • No wonder they quit touring. They were light years ahead of the technology of the day.

  • edicion de mierda!

  • what song was at the beggining

  • @iMCiPodTouchHelp Rock And Roll Music.

  • @iMCiPodTouchHelp Rock`n Roll Music was the first song - best regards

  • This Version of Day Tripper has the only known George Harrison live use of his Gibson SG.

  • Wow, they are SO close to the audience here. Such a shame the whole concert wasn't filmed as the quality of sound and colour film is stunning. They look quite bored playing the same old songs from 2-3 yrs ago, no wonder they quit live work very soon after.

  • Being able to hear Paul's bass in these concerts is always such a rare treat.

  • I love them so much, it's ridiculous. <3

  • I don't care if we only get 12 seconds of each song, I'm happy to get my Beatles :)

  • wwoooooow, how did u got this in color!!!, I bought this on ebay black and white and is good anyways

  • oww, never have the volume on full blast on headphones, when ur about to watch part of a beatles concert live. MY EARS, I CAN'T HEAR! :) still love the Beatles though!

  • So HQ

  • Why was this film shot?

  • Ringos really overdoing the cymbols there. lol Great footage.

  • they were there♥♪ I will be there in April ♪♥

  • @cumbco

yeah but their songs all sucked

  • @cumbco

no, they could never blow them off if the beatles had tried to play good.

but during this part of their career they gave a shit about concerts to be frankly.

and they hated the 30 minutes gig.

give them a stage, give them 4 hours and let them run wild and they would have blown away bands like the who or the yardbirds like they did back in hamburg.

  • Great stuff. Horrible editing. Can't we have at least 20 seconds of a song without it continuing?

  • Hey - the film wasn`t edited at all! Nothing else was filmed! And´: the film was silent - the guy synched it just by looking at what was played. The editing is terrific!

  • @georgefromhenley They did a good job matching the sound with the clips for sure.

  • @georgefromhenley

OK, sorry then. Still, great to see them. As it always is. So thanx for posting this...

  • @georgefromhenley i agree and its good to have a little song montage as well

  • love the PA system...the best vocal band ever and they didn't have monitors (which weren't invented yet)

  • Oh dear. Not at their best here. They admitted themselves that by 1966 there live performances were suffering because they couldn't hear themselves.

  • @ViciousMandy yeah ..a lot of screaming going on^^

  • My HEART loves it

  • in all of the footage ive seen

i can never here john by himself

  • I personly like the munic concert

  • Great stuff !!! This compliments and contrasts well with the B & W footage, as not only is this in colour ( so we can see how it looked for real ) but also the camera angles a different which gives us another " view "; etc. Thanks for putting it on. Regards.

  • i cant believe it!!!

thanks to this cameraman who film COLOR on beatles concert.

    very smart!

  • 0:52 love it

screw it, love the whole video!

  • Man, it would be great if this is all filmed!

    Great footage!!!

  • One of the BEST live footage of them . Where the hell is the rest??

  • OMG!!!

  • That's possibly my favourite Beatle footage. It's like you could almost reach out and touch them!

  • where to find the full version of this? all the clips are such a tease

  • I found Beatle concerts at a website called Stellar products dvd.

They have other concerts as well.

    STELLAR PRODUCTS DVD

  • Enough of the cover versions already!

  • What a great piece of film, cool dad!

  • George looking a bit Keith Richards here, or should that be Keith Richards looking a bit George Harrison?

  • well they certainly look the same now even though G is dead hoho

  • @wildenfree

    exactly.

keith always looked a lot like george.

  • Sera que existe este concierto en su version completa?

  • debe haber....algún dvd....tal vez un remasterizado

  • wish i was old enogh to see them i bet they would be amazing live

  • The 1966 Eurpoean Tour was the highlight of a very BAD year of touring for the Beatles. After Europe, it all went completely downhill: Japan, the Philippines, and the U.S. were disasters.

  • how?

  • Fantastic song after fucking fantastic song - nothing comes close.

  • Well spotted george with his SG....Photos from this concert show Macca had his Rickenbacker bass on stand by too.I love this gig.

  • @BRASAK

but he never played his rickenbacker bass live as far as i know, even when this hofner here would have broke he would still have his old hamburg hofner as backup.

  • I'm probably the very first to notice, but there are some nasty skips and jumps in that video...

  • AHH I wanna hear the whole songs!

  • @lassiebug1o1 You heard what the German fans heard. Due to the devaluation of the German Mark at the time, the Beatles reduced their concert from the usual 35 minutes to 2:20 minutes. In that way the pay received equaled the music presented.

    Just Kidding !!!!

  • I think The Beatles could have performed Taxman, Here There And Everywhere, She Said She Said, Good Day Sunshine, And Your Bird Can Sing, I Want To Tell You from the Revolver album in 1966. Truth is that the audience was so loud it didn't matter what they played or how well they played the reaction was always the same. No wonder they wanted to quit touring.

  • They could have done those songs, but given that John saw "She Said She Said" and "And Your Bird Can Sing" as throwaways, and that George didn't really like "I Want to Tell You," it seems unlikely that they would have. Of course, that's assuming that they would ever have considered performing parts of "Revolver," which they obviously didn't.

  • The Beatles last tour in 1966 they had just released their new album Revolver. Hard to believe that during this tour they did not perform one song from that album.

  • they couldnt play anything from revolver beacuse it was too complicated thats why they stopped touring. but it deffinately wouldve been cool if they could

  • Point taken about the Beatles not wanting to perform songs that were too complicated. However, then, why did they do a simplified version of "Yesterday" (minus the string quartet)? Indeed, the Beatles could have performed simplified versions of their "more complicated" songs. They could have done Eleanor Rigby, Here There and Everywhere, Taxman, and others to keep the shows fresh and to help themselves retain interest.

  • @Doleafol

actually their albums and singles were about the progress of their music.

their concerts were about beatlemania right to candlestick park.

if they only would have started again possibly at the monterey, there audiences would have listened.

  • great footage...great find! when I met Lennon in 1975 he signed a bootleg LP from Japan '66 and commented that "we sounded 'orrible on that last tour"...I have to agree but it's still cool to watch! peace

  • Jesus! What an amazing thing to have seen live.

  • Ringo is adorable in this.

  • This doesn't look post-synched. The only other recording of this concert is from the b/w footage made by Bayerischer Rundfunk, and you can hear BR took their sound from the mixing board while this thing was obviously recorded with a mic close to the speakers (note John's voice drowned out vs BR footage for instance). In the BR footage, you shortly see the police camera man walk across the stage behind John, and he's obviously wearing a pilottone synchrecorder which indicates livesound recording.

  • Plus, you can hear the slight analogue pitch/volume change at each cut, which indicates this is no post-pro edit but the whole original footage; each cut is where the original camera operator actually stopped his cam.

  • o sweet lord ¡¡¡¡

  • thanks thanks thanks!!great job!!

  • 1st class job 1st class quality.

  • There? My body wasn't but me soul !

  • amo este video totalmente, todos se veian divinos!!! y en especial Paul aaa se veia hermoso ese traje se le veia muyyy bien :D

  • very nice!!!!!!

  • Very Professional. A job well done.

  • Nice Entrance.

  • You can hear ringo!

  • george play with his Gisbon SG during "day tripper"?because the pickguard of the casino was white and in this title the pickguard was black, and the body was not the same of casino?i'm right?

  • you are right!

  • Yes he is! Well spotted!

  • Oh Yeah!!!I've searched for AGES filmed live evidence of him using that SG....

  • George did use the SG on the UK Rubber Soul tour in the fall of 1965.

  • True, but i've never seen a video of a live concert in which he use it.George use the SG on the NME Poll Winners Concert on May 1st,1966,but it's never been filmed.

  • The '66 NME concert was indeed filmed but The Beatles segment was cut from it due to a disagreement between their management, NEMS and the television people over price. A pity!

  • yeah lennon was wearing sunglassers and they were all wearing blackpollar neck s

  • Yes-you're right! I always thought Lennon looked his coolest at that time with the black polo neck and clear amber-colored "Easyrider"-style sunglasses look.

  • @crapple009

no, it wasn't filmed, and if it was filmed it must have been destroyed afterwards.

  • @clap67

    you got it right.

  • @1985MANAmericana

    no, he didn't.

  • @Polnanico1409

yup, only known footage of him using it live.

  • Comment removed

  • Please sir....may I have...more?

  • woooh !

the picture is perfect, the tones are warm, makes you feel like you're in the crowd. good job synching the audio !

  • NICE FOOTAGE!!! Really great. Why is this still sitting in a can instead of on the DVD shelf at Amazon?

  • Would you put this on Amazon if you had the original?

  • It's so nice to see them in color for once. They were so beautiful. And I'm loving the stage suits.

  • Man, that was sooo fantastic!! I really wish that the whole thing could be downloaded! But thanks all the way for what was. Really great!

  • oh man, that is just the sex. their fashion was absolutely brilliant in 1966.

  • wow, cool images

  • Incredibly awesome!!! You rock.

  • They were a great live band early on..but once they toured the world(1964-1966)..the quality of the shows..with the lousy house PA systems...the heavily boosted amps...the roaring crowds...not able to really hear each other on stage..the performances suffered..but nobody cared..they were "The Beatles"...

  • THE BEATLES were NEVER a great ''live'' band during the BEATLEMANIA days....they were an AMAZING studio band during those days....and they will never be matched as the greatest pop songwriters of ALL TIME!

  • the sound on this isn't really from that performance, some of it is from their japan concert.

  • it's too short but it's.........brilliant ,brilliant work...5+

  • This second generation Beatles fan has only one thing to say: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

  • Thats a brilliant job these things don't take 5 mins to produce its very much appreciated.

  • alright!

  • Wow amazing

  • thank you!!

  • the person who synchronised the soundtrack with the video is a genius, thank you for this nice clip!

  • Very good !

  • Again this is so beautiful, they look so hot....

  • Oh my God,this is great,in color is so beautiful..

I never get tired of seeing this...

  • You can tell they are not into it,..and are tiring of the Beatle tour.

This is the only video I've seen , where their musicianship suffers , due to apathy.
