guys, Alienware sucks. I bought one 1 year ago and it works like shit. Well, google it, Alienware products have a bunch of problems. haha. I was so stupid when I ordered an Alienware without researching.

I have a M11X and I must agree, do not buy products from alienware/dell. Dell has desecrated the name and quality of these computers and is doing as little as possible for customer supportand resolution of the similar issues I have with mine.

yes, I am agree with you, this specific model quality its very cheap, even there was a time when I bought this laptop its was too expensive so I thought this is a best laptop but I got hinge problem too after 10 months and they repaired it for free cause I had warranty, but now once again I got hinge problem and also I got cracked on touchpad too , :S and exactly the same thing happ to me like I send many emails to them while they had my system but they dont response properly.

I had to return my laptop m15x the same thing happened, the hinge can loose, the H key on my keyboard was loose (they didn't fix it) also I have a crack near the keyboard (not by my fault)

thats pretty slow for the specs, go research on startup mods. you should still be able to increase boot speed by at lease 10 second. My Clevo M860TU(with SSD) boots/fully operational in 31seconds.

at lowest configuration plus a 7200 rpm 500gb drive and a 2.5 ghz driver, way awesome man. 35 second boot up and plays the shit out of crysis at highest settings.

the m17x is great but way overpriced! if you want the dual 8800 NVIDIA cards and the great processor, hard drive, and everything else even cutting corners it cost all about 6,000- 7,000 dollars the m15x completely maxed out is about 5,000 dollars. In my opinion the m15x is better because of the pricing and it can already run almost every game except crysis with the highest resolution. (for crysis you need to buy the quad pack.)

whoever told you you can run 800MHz is wrong. the m15x has a santa rosa motherboard and can only support 667 so it would just downclock any 800MHz ram you put in it to 667

battery life on normal use is like 1.5 hr, but when u watch movie or play game it like 45 min to 1 hr. sometime less. it also depend on how u change the power usage. there is a steath mode which gives u 1 hr more. and there is POWER SAVER, NORMAL, and High PERFORMANCE. i would recommend people to have their power cable plug in while game for better perfomance, because the 8800m gtx needs a lot of power to deliver the best graphic.
