  • that's a good idea. teaching a deafblind child sign language from an early age will open up their world, just like helen keller's world was opened with finger spelling.

  • mine good friend have deafblind he can see limit soon become full blind ..he did teach me anything how use communicate with deafblind very first time for me experience . He was born deaf child and become illegal blind about 9 year old what he explain to me. I glad that his family use ASL ready least not need to worry.

    Tactile signing is the TRUE means by which Deaf blind adults can lead fully independent lives and communicate freely with others.

    Your point about far more people knowing ASL than the DB manual alphabet... yes. It's far easier to use words than spell out every single word.
