Yeah - that's creepy to suggest that a psycho killer would marry his sister - however since he doesn't seem to have any qualms about murder then he's obviously not the most moral character around.

One of the other viewers pointed out that the mentor character is actually supposed to be Billy from the slasher classic Black Christmas. Sounds good to me.

Did you also recognized that when he is obsering his victims in the backghround of the survivor girl there are 2 little girls playing with a rope,they just look like the girls of NIGHTMARE OF ELMSTREET - singing 1,2,3 freddy..I so love this movie

Michael Myers was Laurie's brother, so his marrying her is a bit prurient. Actually, Iconsoffright interview reveals that in fact Eugene was supposed to be Billy from the original Black Christmas. In the final film, Eugene does mention attacks on sororities.

Wow! I never read the Iconsoffright interview. Eugene as Billy from Black Christmas definitely makes sense. The comment about sororities slipped by me. I was sure Eugene was an analogue for somebody - but I wasn't quite sure who. Thank you very much.
