Gear Queer heaven now @ LaRue....A Costa Edition rifle? It's like a Kardashian/Gucci Purse for men. Costa is a legit guy but I don't want his name on my rifle.

@CheatinChad Boutique Tactical!! Its a bit of a reach comparing Costa/Kardashian. I think Chris established himself in the gun world with hard work and intelligence not with sex tapes and marriages to lesser known athletes. Chris is respected among his peers and fanboys alike. His success as the face of Magpul has made him a hot commodity. You cant blame hime for trying to establish his brand. All guns have a guys name on them. So do cars, clothes, computers, etc.

@jsrscbr I specifically said he's "legit",legitimate.You have fully missed the point of my post. You were very polite in doing so which I commend you for. My problem isn't with him (Costa=Impressive) it's with the people drooling over his "brand" as a status symbol.Costa is not a vapid attention wh*re.To some, the Kardashian association is a status symbol. Hard to believe I know..

Also: Bushmaster and Sphinx,are not Guy's names. Also a Makers name and a special edition are a little different.

@CheatinChad i dont know if im quite drooling but i am very interested in this rifle. The fact that its a Costa signature gun makes it even more cool (to me at least). This may lump me in with the fanboy crowd, oh well. hell, nutnfancys got like 250,000 subs. At 2800 (800 more than the standard OBR) this may be a tad high even for the nicest DI 5.56 AR on the planet. Boutique Tactical, it pretty much somes up shot show. Gotta create buzz to sell ARs these days. Cheers

@jsrscbr Fair enough! It is a very nice looking rifle and I'm sure it performs well. Keep in mind that Costa used BCM/KA SR15s before this collaboration with LaRue.

Jerry Barnhart is on his third barrel (he's got about 100,000 k thru the gun)

Chris Costa is on his second barrel. Travis Haley has aprox 80k thru ONE rifle that has the same barrel and bolt in it as the day it left the factory - it shoots around 2.5 MOA now

I'm a big Costa and Haley fan myself.
