  • Nice video, but even calling it 240p would be a stretch! Is there a 120p? Looks like it was recorded with a toaster.

  • 500 centuries or if your smart500years now that is for reiginol airlines for major 5653400000 centries and if smart again5653400000 years and you can instantly become a pilot by if the aliens land on earth or mayday or doomsday

  • Wait, he didn't start the APU but switched to Ground Power right away? And why did he leave the fuel pumps on?

  • @arjennovic all you know is wrong

  • @Av8rwaka No I'm not wrong here. I've been flying the PMDG 737 NGX for a long time now, and I know how the 737NG works. Because when the APU has started up, the middle blue light in the middle of the electrics panel should illuminate, and exinquish when you put the APU gens on. They reilluminate again when you put Ground Power on. I have never seen the APU gen light being illuminated. Also they did leave the fuel pumps on, because if not, all four amber lights should illuminate.

  • Why does it look like a Simulator?

  • @jetsetter14 the camera is screwed into the jumpseat headrest

  • @beastboss90 the flight crew data services for airlines monitor flying hours so pilots don't pass the threshold of what we call "sky fever". Winter sucks though because delays cut pilots short on their trips and for SOME reason it screws up everything else :( idk if you experience that bs or not?

  • Holy crap, I actually thought this was a flight simulator. haha.

  • Upon landing, somewhere in pilot's minds there's a nagging doubt of...."are we actually going to pull this off this time." We've only been flying for around a hundred years, so I presume our ancient instincts aren't so cool with the idea.

  • Talk about old fashion.

  • what is that dance's name at 0:33?

    I'd call it seat-jumper :)

  • ehm Lets rock baby

  • hm i love uk

  • hiya i will make you doing things that you never thought that you will do

  • One handed landing, now that's pro

  • It looks like the plane is tilted

  • Awesome job men. "They move in space with minimum waste, max-imum joy."

  • ANYONE THAT CAN ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT BEING AN AIRLINE PILOT PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

Being an airline pilot...is it fun? Do the airlines treat you like dogs?

ANYONE THAT CAN ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT BEING AN AIRLINE PILOT PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

  • @TheKidHimself7699 If you are an aviation enthusiast yes...it's much more than funny, it's amazing....Sure, it's very stressful you don't know the meanin' of christmast eccecc, 'cause unfortunately aircrafts are flying even in holydays....for what concerns companies treatment it depends on the company..there are "old school companies" where the pilot is the pilot, and new school one (i mean Ryan and generally low costs) where pilots are just normal dependants in a business of savin' money...

  • @TheKidHimself7699 But remember that , for example, you absolutely CAN'T do more than a number of hours of flight per day and per month, due to the international laws...so it's not like "work like a dog and don't brake my ass" it's more like "work as much as you can" ..the rest depends on internal treatment....anyway rember: the more you fly, more experience and flight hours you have in you curriculum! It's a great job..

  • i just love to be a pilot <3

  • Jamie Hyneman from Mythbusters gracefully guides the world's Boeings in :)

  • pilot= nice salary+liife depends on ur skill+nice sunglasses

  • I just admire these real world pilots, how can they flare so late and still perform a soft landing, those are great skills.

  • Just flew with a Boeing 737-800 plane today from Girona, Spain to Billund, Denmark. Had probably the hardest landing I've ever witnessed and the plane kept lurching the last 15 secounds before tough down despite very calm weather and no turbulence before that. Very uncomfortable.

  • What's the best speed to taxi? Generally, I maintain 11-15 knots in FSX.

  • @FSX09pilot The allowed maximum is 20 knots, but for curves you shouldn't go over 15 knots. Also try to not stop in curves, because you'll need a lot of power to accelerate! For straight parts, it's ok to speed up to a bit less than 20 knots. But remember to reduce thrust as soon as you're near a curve... just because breaking means wasting energy!

  • @Freakman33333 no more than 10KTS in gate areas..

  • @VIP100RoyalProdz Oh yea, sure! I completely forgot to write that above! Thanks!

  • you are the best damn pilot i have ever seen land planes in all three of your videos. your a pro

  • Yes respect pilots too for good performance...

  • respect ... great landing

  • one of the best cockpit view videos ever posted, not just the view of the runway also how pilots control the 737 on the its final approch and landing. tata

  • the pilot to the left is driving it like a car..

one hand on the wheel and one on his lap chillin.

    :p mad skill.

  • @HXCchris876

from the first day of training we get taught to control the yoke with one hand, and the other, ready to jump on the throttle, on take off, if i brought my hand to the lap, my instructor would cut the power and simulate and engine out and have me do the pocedure, not fun at 500'

  • sweet landing pilot blos(i mean 'bros') haha(bot funny)

  • @DEATHMETALFANN not* =)

  • it looked like the visuals of the sim. pretty weird...

  • like he's driving a car

  • I know they're ultra pros but it doesn't look like they have to manually do a whole lot at the end.,

  • 53 people are jelous of how much they've tried to land like this

  • Thumbs up if u are gonna landing like them still sometimes

  • He downshifted when he landed :P (landing with one hand on the yoke nice)

  • hard landing

  • @bachehayekoocheposht that was a soft landing look up harding lands and you will see a difference

  • @bachehayekoocheposht For a hot air balloon yes, but this is a plane and that was perfect.

  • How do the pilots know how to fly to their destenation? Do they fly on the purple line on the display? thanks

  • @MrDaan747 They connect their route up through Waypoints and other navigation equipment which is then entered in the FMC and it draws the purple line on the Heading indicator.

  • Glorified Bus driver.

  • nice landing...

    which company?

  • awesome pilots....im dying to be a Pilot...but still student in grade 12...so i have to wait more 3 or 5 years :((

  • @Manelkaz

If you want to have fun until then why not buy a flight simulator!

I'm only 12 and have a simulator and have had it for only 1 year and can land 737's to 747's in it :D

  • @MrEvanOden ohh yeh i just found that it helps to train...hmm have to buy :D

  • When they make aircrafts that don't make pilots shake, that will be the day.

  • It amazes me to watch them land from inside the cockpit or flight deck. I want to know what all those buttons and switches are that they are flipping.

  • @Juliansworld Then you would love Microsoft Flight Simulator X (and separately buy the PMDG 737 for it)

  • "Not bad, you have much routine, about to close down your flight..."

  • at 0:36 it looks like they are both laughing

  • baah they are just showing off for the camera, pretending to push every button they find :o

joking, they are doing great job, i am so jealous

  • I think most of us are better off with our flight Sims, though its great to see the pros's at work. I think my head would explode trying to remember so much stuff, i made a great approach to Frankfurt today, would have been perfect if i remembered to lower the gear :(

  • one of the most amazing landings ive ever seen!

  • That's fucking pro flying right there.

  • woof woof!

  • Take off it's maybe easy then loading :S

  • @susromf5 hos it's said?..."every take off is optional; but every landing is mandatory? lol xD

  • The captain is really fast..nice landing guys.

  • ain't that a hard landing

  • @prdaca No not at all, it was a soft landing actually. He just flared late, that the correct technique of landing an aircraft: flaring as late as possible at the lowest vertical speed as possible

  • Nice...

  • I loke the part of 1:46

  • 1:28 min.... *No comment*

  • I'm sure these two pilots could fly anything very well - aerobatic aircraft, military interceptors, old stearmans, etc. but don't be too impressed with the way they land a jetliner. The autopilot and automated everything allows tthe plane to pretty much fly itself. Most of the time the autopilot flys the ILS to the runway and the pilot takes over and flares it for the touchdown unless they fly a visual approach. Recovering from emergencies though, is where you can really count on them.

  • @eagle5719 That's not true at all, 99% of the landings are manual. Even in low visibility sometimes, because they use the ILS just as guidance. Pilots always use ILS when available, but they don't let the autopilot land the plane. They land it themselves and as already said, they just use the ILS as guidance. The visibility must be really bad before they make an autoland.

  • As soon as the hydraulics/systems of the gear/plane notice a "touchdown"

  • great work guys very hard jub i think..... i am not a pilot but it looks very hard and tired work

  • 48 people think they are going to die cauz of a planecrash

  • very nice video

  • This looks a lot like a simulator

  • nice!

  • be funny if they pulled up the parking brake after they stopped....

  • To jest symulator?

  • This is simulator?

  • Comment removed

  • @daniel30650 Actually it was manual, at no point in this video was autopilot engaged, plus they shouldn't have it on anyway. There was a perfect visibility and they used ILS to lineup.

  • just touching down is one activating spoilers or speed brakes, and one reverse thrust?

  • @powpop1

You set auto-break min/medium/max(depending on the runway length) and the spoilers in some sort of a standby position. As soon as the hydraulics/systems of the gear/plane notice a "touchdown", the spoilers will automatically activate and the plane will be slowing down due to the break. You only activate the reverse thrust, as soon as you go slower than 60kts you de-activate it again in order to avoid engine damage.

  • @jeanorwin correction here, u activate reverse thrust upon touchdown, and deactivate RT at 60 kts to prevent damage:)

  • @dinohoo

That's what I meant. I think I set up the text a little bit confusing :p

  • GREAT clip!

  • amazing how they go through the switches

  • Years Of experience ... thump's up if you wanna become a pilote

  • @xelor61 9/11 Truth

  • @xelor61 Thumbs up for learning how to spell!!!!!

  • @ballin101yea you wont become a pilot if you spell like that XD

  • @ballin101yea Thumbs up for learning how to shut up....

  • @xelor61 Thumb's up if you are working on it..

    To become a B737 pilot (:

  • @xelor61 Thumbs up if you want to become a NAVY pilot :D. Sorry, had to through it out there...

  • @xelor61 well i dont no about you guys but i want to become a PILOT and not a pilote

  • @xelor61 learn to spell and i do

  • @xelor61 nah, i wanna become a pilot.

  • @xelor61 i want this really bad :) :/

  • its not easy to be a pilot

  • u like flying haa

  • we see it as amazing but they do it every day...

  • why does master caution keeps turning on even after parked and engine off?

  • @arayashikinoshaka Is that a joke? What happens when you shut engines down on stand? Doors open, door light comes on master caution, probe heat is off, anti ice comes on master caution, no engine driven hydraulic pumps so HYD comes up, shall I continue?

  • @hourbuilder ok mr, over here our crj900 recognises when we are on ground (pressure on landing gear when down and park set), that if the engines turn off, automatically the plane shuts off master for hyd, a-ice, probe, door, lights... what i mean, is that on ramp, with park set, the master is set for "ramp", dont know the 737, beautiful plane, but i stay with the crj :D

  • hahah where was the 40 feet call hahahaha

  • @hourbuilder boeing 737 does not have a 40 ft call out. it jumps directly from 50 to 30

  • @LufthansaA343 I hope you aren't a pilot for Lufthansa on the A340 300- I have 2000 hours on 737 and we DEFINATELY have a 40' call....if you want email me your address and i'll send you a video of me flying

  • EPICNESS!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm glad that after flicking and pushing all those buttons they eventually managed to find the light switch so the guy on the right could read his sheet of paper. jeeze.

  • Nice landing FO!

  • @Themostfamouschanel: Ever heard about reality?

  • Good job, nice landing. I dont even have to give u corrections :)

  • I couldn't tell if they got the reverse thrust to work, could you?

  • @truckertwotimes They did, you can see the N1 go back up after going to idle then pulling the reverser handle

  • WOW, that was neat getting to see that up close Thanks mate

  • i hope to be a pilot in 10 years, im going to study at Stella Aviation... ...CANT WAIT!!!

  • @DotCmaker01 same here man, keep at it! dont let anyone stop you

  • @UnderclassHero473 me too, im in second year at my academy and then its third year where i choose my classes.... working really hard to be an airline pilot in several years!! :D

  • @DotCmaker01 im 15, and im going to embry-riddle aviation college!!! in daytona beach florida after college, im going to study something about being a bail-bonds man just in case i dont get hired by jetblue or southwest right away, hopefully the economy is up and running by 2015 and the airlines would be growing and hiring more pilots!

  • @johnmunoz18 I'm going there too. I'm currently 14, but in college I was thinking of studying mathematics.

  • that thing looks difficult to fly !

  • @dobsondale takes time and practice but its really beauitfull to fly

  • @sharlock64 yes ill bet they are amazing machines and i would love to fly one (without the responsibility of passangers) do all those switches and dials and buttons really get used on most journeys , how many of them are nececessry ? looks crazy how long it take to learn !

  • @dobsondal nearly all flight control's are used AP throttle Flight directory switch, plus many more other switches like anti ice, lights, master switches engine controlls communitcation controls, plus much more. toke me a full year before i got to grip with it propperly, now its amazing.

  • good piloys. working so fast and all . nice 5/5

  • now thats what you call precision

  • gooooooood!

  • im totally wanna be pilot....how often i watch this video...its inspired me ....impressive...

  • man, they make it look so easy. very impressive!

  • Comment removed

  • Guys, a manual landing ain't difficult to perform, provided that you've studied accurately enough certain chapters of Mechanics of Flight.

  • Comment removed

  • @bmjake I'm sure you'd be a great pilot bud.

  • They forgot about FLARE :)

    Hard landing

  • holy shit? smoothest flare i have ever seen in my entire life

  • Perfect..

  • nice flare

  • 60 kts when he stopped the reverse. looks like 20 lol.

  • what airline elal

  • WHAT A KISS LANDING !

  • Landing: Shake it shake it shake it

  • wth happened to the 40ft, voice marker lol

  • @praetorian2150 the plane comes in a high sink rate,is because of this,if you see

other video, you can hear 40,but in a landing like this you don't.

    Cheers!

  • My dad is a pilot his in copa airlines

  • That Scares Me.......

I'm flying on one of these next month and the way it appears to handle like a boat doesnt fill me with confidence....

Correct me if i'm wrong, the captain seemed to steer left and about 3 seconds later the plane moved left... oh dear..

    Someone make me feel better

  • @motormusic1 you just need to know that its the safest way to travel and the low turning ratio is because of the low speed and its only in landing ,,dont be afraid

  • @motormusic1

the change that you crash with a car or even getting hit by a vehicle when walking in the city is so much bigger than crashing with an aircraft. you should be afraid when you take a taxi to the airport.

the 737 is a very good aircraft and about that steering: the captain turned a little bit to the left. thats why it moved slowly.

and in the air you don't need to turn real fast.

  • @taxi7676 Good point on the driving part... but how is it 'safer' to fly than drive?

Planes must break down sometimes as well.

I noticed the captain only turned a little... cheers

  • @motormusic1 Sorry, I meant ailerons, not flaps. My bad.

  • @motormusic1 I'm pretty sure you were looking at the control wheel when the pilot was steering left.

The control wheel is mostly used to control the wing flaps, which are mostly used when the plane is in mid-air, and when the plane are on the ground and taxiing, they use the rudder peddals, located at the bottom near their feet, used to control the wheel and the rudder of the airplane.

Hope that information makes you feel better. :)

  • @motormusic1 its kind of like a car driving in the city versus the highway, when you're going slow like 20 mph or 140 knots (in the case of this airplane) then you need more dramatic motions on the yoke in order to achieve the same level of bank. But when you're at cruise altitude going 350 knots indicated, even the slightest touch to the control yoke will make the airplane bank 5 10 degrees.

  • I sweare to god I thought the was FSX

  • looks like a simulator

  • even though she was the pilots daughter she always kept her cockpit clean

  • What a wonderful pilots they´re really are ! Thank you for posting this video , so we could really understand the heavy loads of responsibility and work theta is going on on a flight.

  • lol one handed pilot landing the pilot has his hand on his knees like no problem hahaha

  • @NineLivesProduction Thats the captain and hes not the one landing the plane. the first officer landed the plane, you can see has his left hand on the thrust levers

  • @Soulless795 ik that i was just saying the captain had one hand on the stick not two

  • Sorry to tell you this but that wasnt a 737 it was an md-80 LOL!!! Im only kidding! Im just messing with everyone! LOL!!

  • wow,,, i love this video I learn a lot about my dream..

  • I want to be a pilot so badly. They do it so flawlessly. Its impressive.

  • @TheCece96 Take a look at their base pay. You'll change your mind!

  • @nze82

Not necessarily. Yes, they don't get paid much, but if you think that would change someones mind, why would anyone take that course anyway? If someone wants it bad enough, they WILL pursue it. I know how much a first officer gets paid, but I am going to try to become a pilot no matter what the cost.

  • @RontoTheDog Oh of course! If someone's that passionate about it they should pursue it by all means! I love flying, but not enough to choose it as a career. I rather have a career that pays me enough, so that I'd be able to fly as a hobby. But I guess different people have different goals in life.

  • @TheCece96 Agreed. So awesome. Such a noble profession.

  • OMG that could be a very rough landing :O !!
