Im 14 with a 1977 Puch Newport. Pedal Moped. 49cc Engine. Could i get busted by cops if I ride it on the streets? I live in Connecticut. I dont have rearview mirrors or blinkers. I gotta make hand signals. Back break-light doesnt work. But headlight does. Can I get busted for riding this in this condition also?

@TeamTomat0 Yes, it would be easier and make sense. But we're dealing with the government and state regulations. So it's almost guaranteed to be difficult. :) Car rules can vary state-by-state, too.

usually you need registration, sometimes insurance, depends on the state. in NY you want to classify as class B under 30 MPH so you only need registration and insurance, no special license, etc.

So Im making my own moped army and i wanna buy shirts that say moped army and cruise around town! see you can do anything and I turned my ghetto ass town in a moped army!

Not usually, but at least one moped army- like moped gang posts vicious criminal accusations on their forum and google .. all for bringing in expert manufacturer's testimony refuting dangerous maintenance and repair mantras on that army's website. Be careful if using moped army-like forums.
In Germany we have a big Moped-Community, the are a lot of Tuners. An old (nomore existing) Factory called Kreidler got a 50ccm Speed worldrecord, with about 200km/h! Just type, here in youtube, 'Zündapp' or 'Kreidler'.

Depends. Average speed - 25 - 30 mph. Some can go much faster; others can go much slower.

You forgot to add, in most cases, it's illegal to modify one to go above 30mph. Didn't stop me though 40+ :)
