I am not a Palin fan, but seeing how things are going, she has a good chance at being the next president. With independents, moderates, and libertarians angered by the "Patriot Act" and "Homeland Security", they either voted for Obama or didn't vote at all (like me) as a punishment for the poor Republican leadership.
Obama has alienated everyone at this point. Especially the anti-war folks and hollywood. If Palin is the only option besides Obama, myself and many others will vote for her.
when you don't participate in helping, much less understanding your country's politics and legislation then you get the leaders you deserve, there is a big part of the States that deserves an opportunist and ignorant political-careerist like Palin, but most of America deserves much better and so does the world...she's really a winking, patronizing soccer-mom. The tea partiers aren't inherently fascist or intolerant. Of course there's plenty of bigoted right-wing populism sprinkled in there and they count bourgeois property and wage labor among their "rights", but I do believe most of them care about liberty - they just need to be coaxed into a more complete understanding of it.
This only alienates potential allies. I used to be a bourgeois liberal, and it wasn't rhetoric like this that made me a socialist.

There's still people who believe in liberty, even if their focus has been redirected at "liberty for big business" by capitalists.

I'm kind of tired of people making fun of Palin by now, but this was still brilliant, perhaps I was just getting tired of them because they were generally all the same, more or less. While I'm not sure 'fascism' would be entirely accurate, at least at the moment, in general it was a lovely commentary.

I think the problem is more fundamental than "re-establishing a left". In Europe there were always left parties since 1900. Still I won't classify them as radical left. The left has this burden on his shoulders, namely the massacres committed by so called communist regimes like the SU, Cambodia, etc. We need to address this first. It is important because they are used to destroy radical left parties. We need a new alternative.

Sometime violence is morally imperative, you're essentially syaing people shouldn't use force to end their own oppression.

I think the problem is more fundamental than "re-establishing a left". In Europe there were always left parties since 1900. Still I won't classify them as radical left. The left has this burden on his shoulders, namely the massacres committed by so called communist regimes like the SU, Cambodia, etc. We need to address this first. It is important because they are used to destroy radical left parties. We need a new alternative.
