My friend and I were bawling at the end of this video. My friend's a macho guy and he made it until 0:42, when the dog hits the high note. At that point, he couldn't watch anymore of the video.

I hate seeing dogs with no one to cuddle them. My dog is so demanding that she cries if I go out for half an hour--imagine getting attention only once a day, from the person who drops food in front of you? this is so sad, i wish pounds were more like 5-star hotels for dogs.

omg If I were rich like OPRAH, I'd buy ALL those dogs and give all the puppies away to loving families with young children.

I'd keep all the older ones that are most likely to have been abused or have permanent damage like a missing leg..(all the ones that nobody would chose in a dog pound) :)

Whats more- a LOT of pound animals ARE show-star quality. Pure pedigree, just bought by people who didn't really think about what they were doing or wanted.

A lot of Christmas dogs come through our local shelter every year. Ppl buy them for christmas, but then realise they don't have the time or interest in something that doesn't "stay cute" (bull, I say, all dogs are cute).

I've seen show-quality poodles and border collies be put to sleep, because ppl bought them on a whim.

I know right? I got my cat off the streets and had to spend months rehabbing her because of how she'd been treated - rehabbing a blind cat is not easy. The end result was a very sweet, loving animal who was extremely protective of me, and followed me literally EVERYWHERE.
