  • Song ... Good

    Video...terrible

  • Love the song, but not the video.

  • My Grandfather was an F-4 pilot in Vietnam. On Mothersday, he lost sight of his wingman, and they collided belly to belly over Hanoi. We consider it a miracle he couldn't reach the ejection handel, since he somehow flew they totally destroyed aircraft to De'nang. I would just like to say thank you to all those who have risked their lives serving in the armed forces.

  • @MrMisterTompson What happened to his wing? Did he ever fly again? The F-4 was one rugged plane ... rugged. I am grad that it brought your granddaddy home. Gave him a great story. God Bless McDonnell Douglas. They made some damn fine planes.

  • @zappasaurus The wing was torn to pieces, and he did in fact fly again.

  • @MrMisterTompson I am sorry, jargon gets in the way sometimes, let me be a little clear. By "wing" I meant wingman. I hope he made it too. He is very lucky he didn't hit the eject handle. Those puppies ... hurt. Most pilots don't want to get rammed through the roof with those guys. When you see them when they hit the earth again, they look like they went 12 with Mike Tyson ... and lost. Cheers,

  • @zappasaurus I'm not really sure, my Grandpa never told me. Probably ended up ejecting.

  • God bless America and all of our troops.....best song ever

  • I saw this song on CMT when it first aired a few years ago. I couldn't have been much older than 15 I think. All I remember is listening to my army mom singing it while she cooked dinner some nights.

After 9/11 my mom got called out to go to Iraq (after we had taken over sometime). This was the only song I was able to put together with my mom while she was gone. She's home now.

    Emotional song none the less.
