I do not understand? If my government in intentionally bringing us into wars or attacks on other countries which are unjustified at best or absolutely illegal at worst. Then, they lead us into these wars to destroy nations, innocent people, Amercian Citizens and at loss of trillions of dollars we do not have... Isn't this illegal? Ron might be right but sometimes right is wrong. We are already in a war and the only reason why it hasn't got out of hand is that the balance favors U.S. Once other countries feel that they have a chance, then war will happen. It's only a matter of when. So in my opinion which is bias because I'm American, is we should 1st build our oil here then start shit with Iran. Otherwise, oil prices will go through the roof if we go to war now.

The British and the United states carved up the land after world war 2 and gave Israel land. Saying the Palestinians have the right to attack Israel is like saying native Americans have the right to attack us.

What Israel and the western cultures have done to the Arabs and Palestinians, is pretty much the same as what we did to the Native Americans. The trouble with both situations is, if things don't get reversed before new generations are born on the land, then those generations will grow up with that land as their home. We can't, and won't reverse the US expansion into Native land because most of us consider this our home and we'll fight for it like any1. but Israel can fuck off, is not our fight.

US had a humanitarian mission sent to Israel after the destruction of Gaza recently and the Israeli military rammed the boat trying to sink it so the US congresswoman and her mission would not have account of the destruction that occured. OK, I'll keep it simple. Israel is THE only ally, as far as I am aware, that has stood with us no matter what's going on. UK, France and Germany all failed, several times, in the 1st Gulf War. Little payment of funds, promised by others, like Japan, so they wouldn't have to "get dirty in Iraq", were recieved. Now they treat us like crap for finishing what we started for THEM the first time! Sure, Israel is interested in helping stabilize the region. Remember Kennedy's Cuban missle crisis?

Those of us who believe the USA has no duty to defend Israel must be consistent. Israel's supporters argue that we have fought many bloody wars for other countries, so we owe Israel otherwise we are anti-Semitic. We need to make it clear that we would have opposed THOSE wars as well: WW I, which if we had stayed out would have prevented WWII, Vietnam, Korea, Kuwait, NATO, all the rest. Otherwise, if we only refuse to defend Israel we will appear anti-Semitic.

Its not our job to police the world. Its easy to say "humans rights trump all", especially if you think thats what America's interest in Iran is. Don't be a fool. Iran had reported all its nuclear activity and never been sanctioned, but of course our government and UN are in an uproar. Ron Paul does not change his principles for anyone, Jews or anti-Semites or anyone else. If anti-Semites give him money, he will not change, just as he would not change if AIPAC gave him money.
Ron Paul believes, and I agree, that the USA has NO duty to defend ANY other country, Israel included.
I do not expect or want my country, the USA, to protect the homeland of MY ancestors, nor the homeland of anyone's ancestors, only the USA.

I hope one day, this great nation of ours will agree with the reality. I appreciate the efforts and the courage of Ron Paul. He gave his life to protect the liberty and the constitution of this country. And so far the major media is keeping the nation away from the reality.

What I want to know is...what is the incentive for war mongering? What is the big conspiracy? Do these neocons own military equipment companies and want more profit? Are they overly religious and want to exterminate muslims? Or is it like Iraq - they own oil companies and want more profit? Why would they go through all this trouble for their oil companies to make more money? And how does this obviously small group of people have so much influence...especially now that the dems are in power?

So instead of going after him the only ohter option is 2 make our defenses so if attacked we'd b able 2 repel an attack. & only attack if attacked. & don't occupy. the only thing he didn't get was.. mass media coverage.. so only the grass roots movements knew about him when it mattered election wise.

ron got the most contributions from military of ANY candidate..
ron got the most public contributions to his campaign of any candidate.. heck they even had a ron paul limousine.. it was regular ppl behind him.. a LOT of regular people.. not big corporations like obama..
but the media was behind two candidates.. mccain and obama.. no other real choices existed in the mainstream media.. that's why.

and how many make fun of him, ignoring his ideas.... i did about 25 years in marketing departments for a large computer maker. a lot of great ideas die because they aren't marketed well. i donated to his presidential run and i quote and reference his speeches, but the packaging needs some help. take Obama, for example, when it comes to marketing and packaging, compared to depth of ideas.... :)
