  • i don't usually have a problem with bugs( I've even kept black widows as pets before) but these crickets are disturbing, although the cats love them.

  • my house is infested with them lil fuckers! one actually jumped on me bout 5 or 10 minets ago

  • My dad had to crawl under his dads basment and he was telling me how he could feel them landing on his back and jumping of, he hates them so much.

  • They seem creepier than fast-moving house centipedes.

Fortunately, I have NEVER seen one yet.

  • Just earlier today I was cleaning my room and I opened a drawer and one of these things hopped out. I jumped on a chair and was scared to move. I sat there for about 20 minutes before I made a run for it. In our house they aren't camelback crickets. They are called creepy bugs.

  • These things have probably shortend my life span by at least 10 years. They give me heart attacks lol Hideous little creatures. I got rid of them using a he-humidifier.

  • aaugh, we're getting those at my grandparents house! they have guest-room down stairs, and theres a door from itleading into the wash-room, where the clothes washer and drier are, and in there, it's kinda dark and damp. Sometimes in the morning when i wake up, there will be one or two hopping around the room. DISGUSTING!!

But whenever i manage to catch a few, i flush them down the toilet in the guest bathroom.

    MUWAHAHAHA!

  • i get em in my basement and i absolutely hate them.... they chewed the rubber of my xbox mic over a period of time. I get rid of them by catching them and feeding them to my baby snapping turtle.... tiny tim

  • they arent creepy... you are

  • I get these in my bathroom/bedroom, and I really can't stand them. I had gotten used to the fact that I kept finding them on the wall of my bathroom, but a few weeks ago, I rolled out of bed just to see that one was lounging on my headboard. I've been sleeping elsewhere ever since.

  • I remember one time when I was sitting on a couch, a camel cricket had somehow gotten under me.... needless to say it scared the shit put of me

  • i hate spider crickets *shudders*

  • You just have to get 30 day raid and sray all over. They'll die off in a day or less. Now they probably make 6 month spray.

  • I have this feeling of accomplishment when i kill one

  • That's one creepy basement. Surprised there's no kids buried down there.

  • I have those in my basement too. Before I knew what they were called, I referred to them as "mutant alien spider crickets".

  • that insect has great jumping skill. he can jump about 3 meters

  • A few days ago in the morning I went in the bathroom. I turned the light on. Then when I was finished I was about to turn the light off but then I saw one of these on the light switch. It was about this big. (real life size) [ ] . I was so freaked out I could only open the door and run into my room. Then my mom heard me. A few minutes later she went to kill it and found ANOTHER one. Man those things are freakin' creepy

  • We used to have these at my house, about 15 to 30 per room and they can sneak through ANYTHING. Also, even if you place about 10 text books on top of one, it will not die. Impervious exoskeleton for sure.

  • No way! You can easily step on them and smash them trust me, my shoes have experienced it. like to catch them and throw them in the toilet. Then piss all over them for revenge hahahahaha little shits I freakin hate those things. I got like a freakin colony living in my garage during the summer time.. good thing spiders live in there too so they help keep their numbers down :/

  • @bl0gmOnKeY78 Hi, I'm wondering if you'd be willing to tell me more about the camel crickets that were in your home. I am a television researcher making a program for Animal Planet called Infested! We're looking for stories for the new series. If you'd be willing to have a chat, please email me at bracken.hampson-ragg @ darlowsmithson . com.

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Best wishes, Bracken

  • I work in basements all day because I am a heating tech. The first time I ever saw them was in a really old rock-wall basement. It was only like a10x5 ft. room. They were COVERING the walls and ceiling, and because it was such a small space I felt like when I turned my back on them they would jump on me. They're creepy because they don't move, they just stare back at you and wave those antennae until you get too close then boing! They jump. Now I've found them in my own basement but i won't sta

  • okay these camel crickets either play dead or they eat the dead because sometimes im positive i killed one and they will be gone the next day, Also to anyone who wants to know a good method to kill them use a cheap airsoft gun, its too fast for them dodge

  • one time one got inside my pants and was biting my leg.

  • How can I get rid of them for good? Is it some type of Bug poison I can put, on the outside of my house?

  • wow, your brave to even go down there! i never . NEVER go in my basement..lol i'm happy we're moving, but anyways my basement was full of camel crickets, spider crickets, small spiders, big spiders every insect you can think of. i was terrified, i was scared for my life, i almost caught a heartattck when i saw one of those camel crickets they're so scary. lollll

  • Do all camel crickets have 3 stingers on the back? Because I never saw them before in my life and the first time I saw one was in my living room a couple days ago. I didn't want to squish it cuz it looked like it would sound all gross and crunch. So I got a bottle of Lysol bleach spray and the bug got so mad after I sprayed it. I swear it was glaring at me with evil hatred. I didn't want to sleep that night cuz I didn't want to have nightmares about it lol

  • lol i let them kill themselves a night light a bowl of soapy water. put the bowl under the night light. they like water and light.

  • @u6u i gotta sleep in my basement too.....i have to vaccume those s.o.b. camel crickets every week!

  • My family calls them Criters because they look like spiders from hell. Anyway i want to tell a little bit about them. There bodies can go up to 2 inches in length. There legs can go up to 4 inches. and there antennaes can go up to 8 inches. Holy shit these are some real nasty fuckers.

  • yea...i hate these fux..there in my basement as well me and my friend dubbed them as "jumpers" seeing as how u cant even get close enuff to kill em they jump at you and barely give you time to react..lol my dog loves em tho...go figure

  • I sleep in the basement of my house. They're EVERYWHERE! They jump at you, hide in your closet on your door so that when you open it they are at eye level with you. Thay are the ugliest, most disgusting entities on the planet. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get rid of them that would be great.

  • Use sevin dust. It kills them all. and do it soon. because they will start reproducing and your walls with start to move.

  • @hitmansam37 Sticky traps or powdered lime.

  • I also remember back when I was 13 yrs old, I was leaving my friends house, then saw one sitting on their porch. The moment I saw it I jumped down the stairs and ran in my fathers van. Then weeks later we were going back over their house and I was so nervous that I make excuses why I didn't want to over there

  • Man I am so glad I don't live in Decatur, GA no more. I remember seeing these ugly creatures in the patio and the garage. But when night time came man it got worse. I hate these bugs with a passion that sometimes I've had nightmares about them

  • They like most damp environments so one of the best things to do is take that away from them... get a dehumidifier

  • what is the deal at the minute mark? lol it's like you just blew your load over some basement crickets. weirdo.

  • If you want to kill these things grab $30 go to Wal Mart... go to the bb gun section and they have these special bb guns that shoot plastic bb's instead of metal ones works like a charm... so far i killed 28 in one night.....Mwuhahahahahaha

  • I'm fifteen and that's exactly what I did last night with my electronic one. I fired about six shots at it and I kept missing. It went into hiding then a few minutes later I saw it crawling up against my wall. I took my gun directly to the thing and POW!!!! I shot that little Martha Focker and its guts splattered all over the wall. I the feeling of when you accomplish something life changing. It was magnificent. Buy the pistols, they're cheap and they're powerful enough to kill the crickets.

  • @Tennyfun05 omg i would actually have fun killin those fuckers

  • they are like the fucking plague in my house in just 2 days there were 41 crikets total in just 3 sticky traps

  • We call these fuckers Devil Crickets cause they are STRAIGHT FROM HELL!!!!!!

  • Them little bastards are everywhere in my basment. I call them lil shits cuz i always find their shit on the couches downstairs.

  • I've got these guys and stink bugs in my place.

  • Dude if you go into caves or old mine cut outs, you sometimes see mounds of cave crickets on top of each other. Like 100s all congregating in one spot...it's so frickin' gross.

Although, I'd get a kick out of tossing a rock toward them and seeing them hop around en masse. I don't know how long I'd stick around once they're in motion though! lol

  • I have these freaking bugs living in my basement >> And what sucks is the washer and dryer is in the basement, so these damn things ALWAYS jump at me! And my mom makes me do the laundry...

    I HATE BUGS >> XDDD

  • try spending 12+ hours building an airsoft bunker.. and having these little snot shits ruin it.. i was mad.. so i just like torched it.

  • Try spending 12+ hours not being a complete fucking dork!

  • Ugh, I used to live with these things. I serious would first spray them with like a can of raid, and then throw a paper towel over them and step on them. They used to pop when you stepped on them. Ugh, this is bringing back bad memories...

  • "sittin there waiting for people to come underneath....and KILL" lmao

made me laugh all through this video

those things are indeed scary though

  • These accursed things. Why can't they just leave us alone!

  • I had one in my laundry room and by the time I had found something to grab it with, it was gone. Well my thinking is oh well it will starve to death, not so. Those little bastards will start eating their own extremities to stay alive. How freaky is that

  • i feel your're pain man they are all over the place, they are taking over the world. my gf calls them spickets cause they look like a cross of spider/cricket. my dog loves to fuck with them........lol

  • ha they jump at you funny. i have them too they are little pains in the asses i woke up and i had one on my clothes set out for school i screamed like a little bitch lol then i gave it the nike and smashed the hell out of it

  • we refer to the ones in our house as "larry" because the first time we saw one, we didn't know what it was and were scared shitless.

  • you should see it now. When you walk down the stair i did, straight across is a stone wall. I was down there getting my Stephen King collection and the ENTIRE wall was covered in them.

  • I think I would cry hahaha. I hate those things, they scare the crap out of me.

  • @NinjaXTC We have them in my basment. every time I see one, i shit my pants-it's my only defense

  • we call them spickets cause they look part spider.

  • Nice Darth Vader sound effects, too.

  • LMAO @ THEY JUMP AT U. i have never had 1 jump at me. and i have worked in crawl spaces that have had them all over.

  • That's rad. I would make a horror movie with a basement like that.

  • I think your basement is creepier than the crickets.

  • its almost 200 years old, its an old mill, of course its creepy :P

  • omfg i hate these things! I just moved here to new york. Im from the westcoast , the worst thing i have ever encountered before this was cockroaches. After Seeing one of these, i really miss cockroaches. I would seriously love A cockroach infestation rather than one of these fuckers in my house.I found one last couples weeks ago in my room. by the way im really pissed becuase i take good care of my room, yet my room is in the basement.....
