  • Tuna? Are you serious? Tuna has mercury in it you don`t want to eat a lot of tuna. You should eat salmon it doesn`t have as much mercury in it plus it has more protein than tuna.

  • @LeopardaProductions brown rice is best. you do not have to eat it 2 times a day everyday otherwise you will get bored. but yes rice is great.

  • @Ltspe1rs You do need fats in your diet when you bulk, but not the unhealthy kinds, because those can increase cholestorol, clog arteries, and increase risk of disease. That's why he's going with light. You do want to get more of your healthy fats from avocados, olives, nuts, and fish. Those are good for your heart and cholesterol.

    Why would you go up a class... If you have to get fat then its not your class. Most people would go down a class when "making weight", you wont have any advantage with more fat.

  • @sjnsingh1 oh because im a a lot stronger for my weight so i can generally compete in the higher weight classes, and for those higher weight classes im a lot faster (coming from a lighter weight), and more agile, and my cardios better, and im not going to get fat fat, just going to stock up a bit

  • Hey Jeff, what are your feelings on milk? Do you drink a lot? what type? I'm 28 and lately started feeling like the milk and protein shakes are causing me to bloat up. I've had the same results with almond milk . Do you drink milk daily?

  • Hey Jeff I have a question about brining. Is it not a good idea if you are trying to cut weight and look lean? I have started to enjoy brining my meats. If you are unfamiliar with brining it is where soak your meat in salt water for a few hours before cooking it. This makes it so your meat is not as dry or as easily dried while cooking/eating it. And what is your take on mac and cheese w/ corn dogs. I am a college student and those are my main meals.

  • @cidius1 Mac and cheese with corn dogs may have a lot of unnecessary fat, especially since the corn dogs may be processed, depending on where you get them from (frozen or homemade) and the nutritional value, I would stay away from them if you wanna get lean.

  • I am a really plain guy. I usually only eat things very plain. What I mean by this is I don't like ketchup,mustard,mayo, too much tomato sauce, or anything like that. I don't like lettuce,tomato,pickles,onions, asparagus, or celery. However I do like corn and if I'm in a good mood, carrots. I realize this is terrible but I cannot eat vegetables without feeling like vomiting.

  • @tehfear I think Raisin Bran has high fructose corn syrup, which is bad. Try grape nuts, or Kashi cereals. Look for cereals low in sugar and high in fiber and protein.

  • Thats way too much protein, the R.D.A. is like 65 grams and that per day! I appreciate you making these videos trying to help, but would guard against going against what the government deems appropriate and fill up on carbs and low fat foods.

  • Hey Jeff... I'd have to assume that you're baking those Chicken Breast while their still FROZEN since you're putting them in the oven @ 425 for 60 minutes... I know that the oven baking instructions are different from what you mention in this video... The packing says bake em' @ 350 for 25-30 minutes on the center rack... So do you think the 425 for 60 minutes is the way to go... I'm asking since I never seem to bake my chicken to its moist & juicy... Mostly I OVER BAKE it and its TOO DRY...!!!

  • @dcm1127  Yep. Frozen solid. Bake at the 425 degrees for 60 minutes and make sure you cover the whole thing with tin foil in all the tomato sauce and spices. This will lock the moisture in. Good luck!

  • hey Jeff, i am a 16 year old and i am a wrestler who wrestles in the 189 weight class.. so i needed a proper diet..i like this diet in particular because i can eat a lot haha but i added all the grams of protein up and its only 113grams of protein..my parents wont let me buy protein shakes.. and i need at least 1 grab per bodyweight to gain muscle.. is their anyway i can bump up the grams of protein on this diet and not go overboard on calories..?

  • JDCav24 I'm wondering if the protein powder I'm using is efficient or even healthy. It's called GNC Pro Performence AMP Amplified Mass XXX. I only use it after my conditioning workout because it has more substance but I use 100 % Whey Protein Powder (By Pure Protein) for my regular workouts. Should I just use the 100% whey for my conditioning also and just have more to make up for the intensity or continue using the GNC stuff?

  • @littlexbean Definitely! Pasta is a good source of carbs, you just want to make sure you're combining it with some protein like shrimp, chicken, scallops, etc

  • @JDCav24 I though pasta was a bad carb because it is digested too quickly and can easily be turned into fat? Many people tell me to stick with oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat bread and sweet potatotes because they are complex carbs.

  • @littlexbean No!!! Pasta is a starchy carb. Starches turn to sugar, which then turn to fat. Plenty of vegetables will give you the carbs you need.

    You sure can! You can also go with turkey but make sure it's low sodium Bores head. I usually do this with a banana or an apple for one of my snacks.

  • @bmxnboarder1 - if you have use of a microwave you can cook the chicken in it takes about 20 minutes to cook 2 chicken breasts on hi just make sure they are fully cooked at any time, i actually like the microwaved chicken i think it doesnt cook out all the moisture from the chicken so they nice and juicy

  • do you cook the chicken before putting it in the oven or put the raw chicken in the pan with all the other stuff and let it cook for the 1 hour and its good?

  • @bmxnboarder1 Raw chicken that you cook in the pan for the hour.  Throw some garlic, onions and some seasonings and you're good to go!

  • I'm a tuna salad/ sandwich fan myself. I like to substitute the mayo with ff cottage cheese. Lots more protein, and seasoned just right, I can't tell the difference. It's good to hear you can survive off tuna, I want to eat more but scared of the mercury thing.
