No it's an Arm Slave (mech) from the series Full Metal Panic. Their much more smaller than Mobile Suits, only around half their height.

@yuseig1 No, it is an Armed Slave from the giant robot anime series "Full Metal Panic" . Its a good series. I have every Ep. and it's very Gundam inspired (I Don't mean that trash Gundam Seed/Destiny)

The ARX-8 wasn't actually in the anime.. It doesn't pop up until about novel #9 and that's at the end.

The thing is a beast though, I really hope they animate the rest of the novels at some point.

The devices on the shoulders are the "Fairy's Feathers" which are awesome. The hair is used for radiating heat, sorta like the Arbalest's back fin things that came out during the use of the Lambda Driver.

The ARX-8 is a real beast. I hope they get around to animating the rest of the light novels.

This mech hasn't been introduced in the anime yet, it hasn't even been shown in the manga yet. It has only been introduced in the light novel series. Remember, Full Metal Panic is a light novel series originally, manga second and anime last.

He is not from the anime but from the Light Novels/manga. It IS a good series, heck, one of my favorites. Its not done yet as we are still waiting on the final/semifinal novel to be released.

I got mine in a local store, actually. I've been searching but it seems to be sold out in most stores (I saw some in ebay and amazon though), or you can reserve one for December 15th when it will be re-released with the brand new ARX-7 Arbalest (I wanna one!!!)

Until I know, Arbalest will be a separate figure. But I think some stores will take the chance and sell them as a package. If not, at least you can get a discount for shipping (if they don't give you a reduction for a multiple purchase).

Anyway, if you can try to get both of them. ARX-7 has a bunch of accesories as his cousin (even a climbing wire!). They will be an AWESOME present for your birthday. I'll give one to myself for X-mas!!!

For the accessories, the ponytail is actually a cooling device (when using the Lambda Driver) and the shoulder optionnal parts are called "Fairy's Feather" they can disable the effects of the Lambda Drivers around the Laevatein. But it is affected too.

The Lambda Driver basically allowed the pilot to use his mental strength when fighting. Using his feelings, he can create an invisible shield around the mecha or use the invisible force as a weapon etc. But it's difficult.

It is one of the best Revoltechs, though. Looks great on my shelf.

You should watch it if you get the time too. I wouldn't go out of my way to do so. It's a weird series since it switches genres back and forth.

2nd Raid: mecha story with mature themes 13 eps (I think)

A lot of the mechas from the series don't make it to the anime. You gotta read the novels to know what's happening, which are difficult to find.

u should watch full metal panic fumoffu. which is the last season. but its really really funny. no joke. but u dont need to watch the 1st to understand wats goin on in fumoffu. its all comedy.if u want action and good fighting, watch TSR.2nd season. of course full metal panic 1st season. its okay but not that good. its funny tho but i dont like tt much as the other 2. the other 2 are amazing. go to anime news network and ull see the rating is awesome. so definently watch the series.watch fumoffu
