Percival Mackey isn’t that well known, I don’t see the 78’s turn up much but I was lucky to pick up a batch in really good condition and they are all excellent recording.
Nice actually seeing the band in action.

The singer reminds me of Michael Palin doing one of his sleazy Python characters, lol.
There only seems to be one Mackey CD available atm, and it doesn't have this song on it.

hi guys from an aging ex pat here in Canada, what a fab clip, brill of you to post! todays acts would do well to take note,its not all about waving arms and shouting how much money you have! I'm guessing the tune is Millions of kisses, Millions of smiles..does anyone know the details? i'm adding to my collecton all the time, and this one definitely is getting a pride of place!As you all know this genre is coming back with young folks so, any reccomendations of tunes would be welcome i theng yew!

in 1933 when this clip was made, there were enough jobless artist so that a dancer who could earn some shillings was easy to find
the vocalist is a member of the band , not every band had a wellknown singer or crooner like All Bowly, Frances Day or Sam Brown at the Hylton Band

The dancer is Monti Ryan who was Mrs Percival Mackey in real life. If it's any consolation, she's a much better dancer than her singing was with the band!
