In some instances this is true child actors worked extremely long hours. The money was paid to the parents and many spent it on themselves instead of saving it for the children. Robert Blake was one of them and his family ripped him off and abused him terribly and look what happened to him a few years ago.The good thing was that their was unity and no prejudice against any of the children who were non white. First intergrated movie show ever with equality for all kids.
