sorry to nag ya. LOL i just like to help people with the ole 1st gens. me and my dad got alot of experience with them. had a few... (cough cough) 7 trucks inthe past.
Don't get a 14cm , its too much money and you will notice NO difference at all from your 16cm, trust me been there and done it with the SAME exact truck, 91 non i/c 5 speed cummins truck.
If anthing go to a 12cm, NOW THAT YOU WILL LOVE, the 12cm is a huge upgrade over the 16cm, the 12cm is sooooo funn around town.
Yea I over fill mine threw the top PTO cover bolt, Its been a ok transmission so far I bought it rebuit from a guy on Ebay, its makes some funny noise sometimes and I got the shifter stuck in 5th gear once and had to pull over and get it loose.
Thats cool Man!! I bought a cummins 5.9 that came out of a 1990 dodge ram and put in my 64 Ford F350 a few years ago with 5 speed getrag. those early 12v Cummins are some great engines
Now that's a nice conversion! Be sure your getrag doesn't run low on oil. Some people add a couple extra litres through the top of the tranny for better/more thorough lubrication. I agree, the early 12v Cummins are tough, and valve adjustment is really simple and easy to get at.
lol know whats funny my 90 5 speed 4x4 cummins is painted the same with steel rims even from canada too where you from man.

These early 12 valves are pretty quiet compared to the 94-98 12 valves for some reason.

I love the format of your video! You took a startup and a short drive and made them into a complete story. Additionally, I love the truck.

Thank you! It was a lot of fun. We'll be making another video with this truck as soon as spring comes by with some better weather.

You're right, 12cm would have minimal lag.
My father is now the proud owner of this unit. I think he's looking into a newer 12 valve cummins. Maybe I should buy it back from him, I miss it!
