The federal governments currently grants 1138 rights associated with the security of the couple. Rights to hospital visitation, inheritance, taxes breaks, joint mortgage...ect The moment the church advocated to giving benefits to married couples was the moment they gave away the rights to "define" marriage. Marriage is now a secular term.

The problem is that 'marriage' started before, and exclusive of governments. It isn't about perks..per say, but that is why same sex folks want to be able to have a 'legally binding' marriage- for the 'perks'. A biblical or religious 'marriage' makes two people into one person by legal definition, and thereby granting them certain rights and privileges i.e. not being compelled to testify against one another, being able to speak for the other for medical and legal reasons..etc.
The real problem is twofold, in my opinion. 1) Children deserve to have a frame of reference that propagates and fulfills the human vision of recreation, and they cannot get that from a same sex adoptive family. 2) The bond between the male and female of any species is technically exclusive of any other pairing, and therefore deserves special treatment. Two mares cannot produce a winning thoroughbred-so the relationship CANNOT exist.

Marriage as far as government is concerned is a LEGAL Contract that will make the two parties subject to various financial responsibilities that being single they are subject to. Reason why people should be "tied-down" to one person is because if you create a life with that person, both parents should be responsible for raising the child. We are NOT animals, animals fuck each other and give birth and the offspring basically takes care of its self. We as humans have have to raise our children. So men go going around impregnating women and moving on... is not the way a civil society is maintained.
Being married does not make 2 people responsible. Each person needs to want to be responsible.
I can take 2 strangers off the street and give them a baby. It's up to each of them to be responsible enough to take care of that baby. If either of them does not want that baby, they can leave and live their life. It's the same in a marriage. Most times the man leaves the woman to take care of the child/children on her own because he wants no responsibilities.
Scientifically, we are animals. We are just very advanced.
Most mammals take care of their offspring until they are strong enough to live on their own. They don't just abandon them and let them fend for themselves.
Men going around impregnating women and moving on without care is a problem. Women allowing themselves to be impregnated by these men is also a problem.
But women are the ones STUCK with the child, when men can just impregnate as many people as they want. And YES we have to raise our children. What are you suggesting, that after a woman gives birth she just leaves it at the hospital? And no, marriage doesnt make people responsible, but when you are married you are now family, and there are consequences to just leaving. Government sees to it that you take responsibility for the care of your child.
New laws such as wage garnishments for child support are great, but the breakdown of the family unit is only hurting society. And I agree that gays should be allowed to marry, and raise children... Its best that children are raised in a loving family environment, not with a mom and some dad that sends a check every month and lives with another family and all that drama.
Sending a check every month is not responsibility in my opinion. I believe the parent sending that check should make sure to be in their child's life.
If that's the case I along with many of my friends have no family.

This is not just limited to women. I know many men who are "STUCK" being single parents. If the law of the land wasn't biased against men in the child care department, the number of single fathers would most certainly increase.

I don't believe in anything. Every answer that religion claims to have in regards to life can be disproved by science.
I studied many religions, but since I was forced to attend Roman Catholic church, my knowledge of their beliefs are the highest of any religion.

The real problem is twofold, in my opinion. 1) Children deserve to have a frame of reference that propagates and fulfills the human vision of recreation, and they cannot get that from a same sex adoptive family. 2) The bond between the male and female of any species is technically exclusive of any other pairing, and therefore deserves special treatment. Two mares cannot produce a winning thoroughbred-so the relationship CANNOT exist.

The definition you used form the Dotcom source is lacking, it provides only the socially relevant 'take' on marriage (one that is being re-engineered for us dumb folks) and doesn't take into account the natural pair-bonding that exists between male and female of any species. On a personal note: 'de-gendering' of the human experience is not healthy, being a male- or female should not be under attack.

Obama said he believes national legislation should be passed to "prevent other states' laws [allowing citizens to conceal their guns] from threatening the safety of Illinois residents."
Not only is he anti 2nd amendment he is anti state rights. Obama has also stated support of a ban on "the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons." Not to mention he supports reinstating the assault weapons ban.

Actually, no, the rich don't pay the most taxes because once you make a certain amount you get a perk. Its called, tax cuts. Because rich gets these tax cuts, we low-middle class people have to pay more to cover the deficits.

Also why would anyone believe homosexuality is legitimate? Adam and Eve? You can even be an atheist and see it is incorrect, pick up a biology book. It is at best a mental or emotional disorder, maybe a genetic deformity. I do not seek to take away rights from homosexuals, they are free do withe their life the way they wish as is their god given right. But to give homosexuality the same status as heterosexuality I believe is an Insult to God.

It is well known (or perhaps not) that god in the old testament showed a very stern side . The reason. The Jews in the old testament were given so much by god and time after time they would disobey and abandon god. God had to enforce a standard for all the Jews and later all people to live by. And apparently the only way the Jews would listen is if they were whipped into shape. Much like how parents have to spank kids ever one in a while.

Marriage as far as government is concerned is a LEGAL Contract that will make the two parties subject to various financial responsibilities that being single they are subject to. The more contracts your name is on the more the gov't can control you. Not a conspiracy theory, just fact. Similar to the way our BIRTH certificate is actually issued by the DEPARTMENT of TREASURY. Just because western society has corrupted the "marrage Union" that doesn't make "marraige" invalid.

What? My birth certificate was issued by my state's Department of Health. My Social Security number was issued by the Social Security Administration, which is an independent agency that does not report to any Cabinet officer.

Your birth certification is a contract of OWNERSHIP as in The GOV'T ment owns you from birth. And your children. That is why they could take you away from your parents whenever they feel like it. Example: The Gov't ment took those 400 kids in Texas form that GROUP. They found that they had no reason to take the kids. ( NO molestaion) yet they won't give the kids back.

I also think the government shouldn't be involved in the marriage business. There are a lot of non religious ppl getting married, so why would you "hate" marriage just because you're an atheist? Reason why people should be "tied-down" to one person is because if you create a life with that person, both parents should be responsible for raising the child. We are NOT animals, animals fuck each other and give birth and the offspring basically takes care of its self. We as humans have have to raise our children. So men go going around impregnating women and moving on... is not the way a civil society is maintained.

Being married does not make 2 people responsible. Each person needs to want to be responsible.
I can take 2 strangers off the street and give them a baby. It's up to each of them to be responsible enough to take care of that baby. If either of them does not want that baby, they can leave and live their life. It's the same in a marriage. Most times the man leaves the woman to take care of the child/children on her own because he wants no responsibilities.

Most mammals take care of their offspring until they are strong enough to live on their own. They don't just abandon them and let them fend for themselves.
Men going around impregnating women and moving on without care is a problem. Women allowing themselves to be impregnated by these men is also a problem.

What are you suggesting, that after a woman gives birth she just leaves it at the hospital? And no, marriage doesnt make people responsible, but when you are married you are now family, and there are consequences to just leaving. Government sees to it that you take responsibility for the care of your child.

New laws such as wage garnishments for child support are great, but the breakdown of the family unit is only hurting society. And I agree that gays should be allowed to marry, and raise children... Its best that children are raised in a loving family environment, not with a mom and some dad that sends a check every month and lives with another family and all that drama.
