What the hell? I read 2001 on the description but in the video, it's say copyright 2005. Which year is it?
Otherwise, a pretty good short which homages the B&W mad scientist films of the 1930s. It didn't look like Super 8mm either. Does B&W film stock appear more polished than colour Super 8?
@3baxcb I made the film in 2001, but didn't copyright it until 2005 (I didn't copyright any of my old films until 2005 for some reason...probably lack of cash, ha).
Thanks for taking the time to watch. Some Super 8 color stocks are grainier because of the film speed. This was 200 speed, with good lighting, so it's not as heavy on the grain, vs my film "Night of the Living Missionaries" which is much grainer because, if I recall correctly, we shot a slower speed outside on a cloudy day. I could be all wrong, though - it's been so long since I shot these little movies!!! I have notes on them all, so if you're interested in all that stuff, just PM me!
@astronomicafilms that was better than 80% of the films I saw on You tube. The tri-x looks rich for super 8 ,nice blacks and sharp. I would love to see more work. Good actors too!
@theeternalancient A buddy of mine bought a violin and just...um...fiddled around with it in the sound proof booth of the TV station we worked at. What made it into the film was just a lucky fluke!
Very nice. Keep them coming. I want to see more Super8 movies on YouTube like this.

Aww how sweet. First you need to cut her open to get inside. Then, charge up the heart. Who knew. Now, the two of you can make sweet love.
