  • the perfect music for this montage somehow. thanks for the tribute to a great man.

  • maybe we wouldn't have had so much trouble thanks to diana if he'd lived

a great man who didn't deserve what happened nor those two boys

  • Dick Mountbatten was an outrageouly arrogant snob, to the point of childishness. Even the Royal Family thought so. He was promoted well beyond his abilities both in India and during the war, and he treated `ordinary` people with pompous disdain. NOT a very nice man. Many people died in the troubles and he was but one of them. No more.

  • Well done ladymountbatten

He was and is a real gentleman.we should honour him.we need more like him

  • @eriknederland We dont need anyone like him again.

  • I am from India. I have been a Fan of Dickie and have collected pics, Autographs of him and have 4 to 5 letters and more than 25 V.rare original pictures of this gentleman and his Family. He was a very great inspiration for us. My only wish should be to visit his house in Broadlands !!!!

  • @jsowmyan Mountbatten was a fool. No more.

  • he was of pure royal german blood line?

  • this was one hell of a guy. he as a master of life

  • Something sick. Die British.

  • Suberb,thankyou for this.RIP

  • No Surrender to the IRa filth, we will never give up.

  • Great, great pics and wonderful song to meet with it. So great man he was. A time when education and cortesy were a normal way of life.

  • Great choice of music

"I used to rule the world"

  • One thing that gets OVERLOOKED is the man was 79 , but took great care of himself . Really he likely would have lived another 15 years . Maybe even changing history in Ireland . I feel he would have eventually got in Thatcher's ear to convince her the problem in Ireland was much getter than she ever new . One more thing if he would have lived Charles and Princess Diana would'nt have been . Erasing her from our history . SAD

  • Sorry, but so you say that its not bad that Mountbatten died because we wouldn't had Diana if he lived??

  • I dont 't mean that at all . Ofcourse it was TERRIBLE . I only made that conjecture as my opinion . I would NEVER trade a man's life for a marrige . Thank YOu

  • I thought of this song for young Paul & Nick & everything that was lost on that day!

Joe Brown. " I'll see you in my dreams"

  • Oh, what a lovely song indeed! :-) But this Video was only about Lord Louis & his live. Its not about the IRA, they day and circumstances he died... Sadly I only have maybe 10 Pics of Nicky and just two of Paul, so that not enough for a Tribute-Video... :(

  • I Agree with you. This video is only for Mountbatten and his life. Its the Coldplay Song that brings in other thoughts of what happened. Sword & Shield, When I ruled the world,Castles,Pillars of Sand,Role the dice, feel the fear in my enemies eyes,Long live the King,Roman,Cavalry, Shattered Windows, Revolutionaries, Puppet on a lonely String,Jerusalem, Missionaries in a foreign Field.I think its appropriate for his life. From what I do know he seems to have been a very good & loving Grandfather.

  • To gain a good understanding of what happened can I recommend a book by Tim Knatchbull called From a Clear Blue Sky. Its a very moving story.

I found the ColdPlay Lyrics very raw but perhaps somehow appropriate. I dont think Mountbatten would have objected to them.

Thank God that there is now peace in Ireland.

  • Its not easy to find a fitting song which will not be deleted by youtube because of WMG copyrights... Its indeed a good book and mainly - peace is the most important.

  • IRA Pigs!

  • Quite a man for the ages Lord Mountbatten.

    God rest his soul.

  • some people dare to call IRA "heroes"

i think this people, by exploding an old man on his boat whilst enjoying holiday, are just shit, cowards, murderers, and nothing else!

May the Viceroy rest in peace, long live the UK!

  • My granmother remembers him, she rembererd when he was made viceroy and when the war ended , i can't remember , there is some quote , BEAT THE BOSCH or something like that

  • @ngai1842 I wouldn't call them heroes but he was taking a risk being there at the time. He represented to a lot of people what the IRA was fighting against at the time.

By him going to Ireland some republican hardliners would see a member of the British Monarchy believing they still could go to a former colony as if they still ruled it. It's sad but Ireland was dangerous back then and more so for him.

  • @ngai1842 And the boat went BANG hahahahaha

  • @xBoRnSLiiPpY89: So you are willing to celebrate a cold blooded murder of an elderly man who was just there on holiday? Disgusting.

  • @kanenkitten What a great day,The brave IRA got 18 Brits and Lord mountbatten :) How do you know lord Mounbatten had dandruff??They found his head and shoulders on the beach hahahahahaha..You English fuck ,writing to me saying "willing to celebrate a cold blooded murder" Look at bloody sunday??..The IRA sent over 800 Brits home haha Rot in hell use cunts.

  • @xBoRnSLiiPpY89: You completly disgust me. how you can show support for a terrorist organisation that murdered innocent people?

  • it is so sad his true loved died at least he met the glamourous Edwina to make him smile again!

  • I can't read it anymore. He was more german than anything else, if you want to be so accurate. :) And not anti-irish and by the way not pedophile. Stop reading all that bullshit in that ridiculous Internet, start

reading books. And now, it doesn't interests me, what all that IRA-fanatics write here... Wer zuletzt lacht, lacht am besten. :)
