OH. MY GOD. No way! I've had enough of this 'we all speak like Ris Low' crap. That's the main reason why most of us are enraged by her manner of speech.
I mean, come on, I'll admit that our English isn't perfect, and we speak with a Singlish accent. But hey, no one speaks the way she does! Slurred articulation, jarring fluctuation in tune, weird pausing and incredibly unique diction. Sure we all speak like her. Wait. WHAT? Even the ah lians are easier to comprehend.

What kinds of things could he be talking about? We often can see faults in others and not see them in ourselves. It's easy to spot someone else when you are being selfish, proud, mean, unforgiving, or dishonest. It's harder to notice when you are acting that way.

Another thing i find it funny is. How can she got SO MANY diploma course at the age of 19yr old. I study locally, obviously. & the reason behind my use of simplistic terms is so that someone with your level of english can understand. Besides, you don't need flowery words to demonstrate a decent command of the language. Its only posers like you who try to hide your poor understanding of the language with a few big words out of the thesauras.
Kinda like with Ris Low who tried to cover her cheena accent with a fake American accent, failing epicly.

Since I said that, I obviously mean to say that there are a lot of other people with a similar standard that I possess in terms of linguistic ability. Its theoretically wrong.
If you were to look at the 2 sentences below:
I'm eating, still.
I'm still eating.
No doubt, the latter is the theoretically correct choice. The former is only accepted on the grounds of informal conversation, like a convo between friends. Besides, the problem here is that it is obvious that the word "still" was used here as an attempt to end off her weird statement, with the lack of better vocabulary to continue the sentence.
